MetroTwin and MetroFlex Twinwall Ducting
Naylor Metro twinwall ducting offers the
advantages of a lightweight flexible product
combined with high strength and durability.
MetroTwin (sticks) and MetroFlex (coils)are
designed to meet the required compression
strength to current Highways specification
and are supplied in various colours and
markings to suit NJUG recommendations.
Manufactured in polyethylene, the pipe is
normally supplied in either 6 metre lengths
or 50 metre coils. The external corrugated
profile gives the product added strength and
the internal bore is smooth to prevent cables
from snagging. If required, a sealed joint
may be achieved by using two profile seals
and a push fit coupling.

BBA - All Naylor twinwall duct is fully
compliant to the new BBA certification for
sealed systems (if required) which
incorporates sizes 63mm - 178mm OD in 6
metre lengths.
Metro duct is available in smooth wall,
twinwall and singlewall corrugated profiles.
The lightweight, flexible duct copes with
trench undulations and the high impact
resistance minimises special preparation of
beds and eliminates the need for special
surrounds in most instances.

Premium Access System
The pioneers of the prefabricated HDPE Access
Chamber were Poet Plastics in the 1980's. The
HDPE access chamber was a revolution to duct
chambers and the Poet chamber became
specified via a large number of local authorities.
Naylor’s acquisition of Poet’s business and tooling
some 10 years ago allowed the company to
complete its comprehensive duct range.
Subsequent investment in design and tooling has
allowed the company to introduce a number of
extra features and benefits designed with
engineers in mind.

Installation
Excavate the required specified

location, to the depth of appropriate
number of chambers required,
(maximum 3 chambers), plus
additional 40mm for depth of base.

Allow minimum of 150mm
surrounding the chamber for solid
concrete support, which should be of
a semi-dry workable mixture.
Ensure concrete fill is evenly

specified trench/location.

6. For traffic signal/street lighting
applications the covers are non
ferrous composite material and fit
closely within a galvanised steel
frame. The cover and frame will
meet the loading requirements of BS
EN 124 Class 125. The cover is
black in colour and marked Naylor
Drainage and the legend ‘‘Traffic
Signals’’ or ‘‘Street Lighting’’ and
have integral lifting keyholes. The
cover has an integral anti-skid
pattern on the upper surface. The
frame must also be supported on
the concrete surround of the
chamber on a bed of mortar
