Company Business
Zamil Air Conditioners was founded in 1974 as one of the first air
conditioning companies to be established in Saudi Arabia and today is
a leading international manufacturer of air conditioning systems and
is Number One in the Middle East.
Zamil Air Conditioners manufactures both consumer and central air
conditioners and has sales operations in over 55 countries in the
Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
The company’s operations are structured into four Strategic Business
Units (SBUs) supporting five in-house product and service brands as
well as a number of international brands under the OEM Sales.
The five in-house brands are Classic, Cooline, CoolCare, Clima Tech,
and Geoclima.
The four SBUs are:
1. Consumer Business Unit supporting Classic, Cooline, GE and
OEM brands for consumers.
2. Unitary & Applied Business Unit supporting Cooline, GE
and OEM brands for commercial and industrial customers.
3. Zamil CoolCare providing engineering and project management
services, HVAC maintenance, retrofit services and parts.

4. Geoclima srl is an independent business supporting other SBUs
for their requirement of Chillers and double skin AHU’s.
The first three SBUs - Consumer Products, Unitary & Applied
Products, and CoolCare Service direct their business operations from
the corporate headquarters at Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Geoclima has its engineering and production departments located at
Monfalcone, Italy and has a design center in Austria.
All the four SBUs, while operating independently, supplement each
other’s activities in a way that makes synergy work at its best and
achieves the corporate goals of maximizing customer satisfaction.
OEM Sales - Private Labeling
Zamil Air Conditioners produces branded air conditioners under OEM
agreements for several leading international brands. Such
relationships are testimony to the excellence of ZAC’s engineering
and production processes.

Most of the units produced under the private labeling agreements are
for window and mini-split systems, however the company is expanding
its OEM offering to include residential and light commercial units.

Middle East Air Conditioners - JV with General Electric
Besides the several distinct business units, Zamil Air Conditioners
also partners with GE Appliances - Europe since 1997, in the form of
a joint venture called Middle East Air Conditioners (MEAC), for
manufacturing and marketing of GE branded air conditioners.
MEAC was awarded the license to manufacture Window, Mini Splits
and Ducted Split types under the brand names GE, Hotpoint and RCA.
Today, MEAC enjoys extensive coverage in Saudi Arabia, GCC and
theAfrican market. In an ever-changing market, MEAC continually
strives to acquire new technologies and stylish integrated design with
optimum performance and reliability that bring greater value to
customers.
Factories and Production
Zamil Air Conditioners has two manufacturing plants in Dammam,
Saudi Arabia and has one speciality production facility in Italy
operated by Geoclima.
The company can produce up to 550,000 room air conditioners,
300,000 mini-split systems and 50,000 central air-conditioning
systems per year.

Our Products
In addition to the consumer products such as the Room Air Conditioners
(RAC) and the Mini Splits, Zamil Air Conditioners manufactures a
host of residential, commercial and industrial air conditioners. This
broad range extends from the concealed units up to 5 tons, the
ducted splits up to 30 tons, the packaged units up to 90 tons, the
single and double skin air handling units up to 70,630 CFM and the
water chillers up to 660 tons cooling capacity.

DY Series:

Concealed Fan Coil Units
These low-profile units will fit practically in any tight false ceiling, a feature that
architects/designers and interior decorators appreciate. The concealed units
come in three compact cabinets delivering capacities ranging from 1.5 TR to
5 TR (5 kW - 17.5 kW). They provide ample flexibility to cool/heat single or
multiple zones, depending on the situation. All maintenance and utility connections are available on one side for ease of maintenance.
BY Series:

Air Handling Units (DX)
The BY AHU is the perfect solution to applications where there is a need to
separate the outdoor & indoor unit (due to Architectural/Structural requirement).
These compact units are designed for installation in either vertical or in horizontal
positions, saving a lot of valuable internal space. They provide conditioned air in
a quiet, yet powerful manner, even when subjected to high external static
pressure. 1/2" thick tuff-skin fiberglass insulation is used for better sound and
thermal insulation. These units deliver capacities ranging from 2.5 TR - 30 TR
(9 kW - 105 kW). These units are available with R-22 as well as environmentalfriendly R-407c and R-134a refrigerant gases.
FMX Series:

Free Standing Units
Ideal for open/public spaces such as restaurants, showrooms and warehouses.
The free standing units’ beautifully shaped casing blends easily with the interior.
Its body (made of heavy gauge steel) is robust and will withstand the test of time.
Electronic controls, including automatic mode and fan functions, make life for the
end user much more convenient and enjoyable.
These units deliver capacities ranging from 3 TR - 6.6 TR (10 kW - 23 kW).

Air Cooled Condensing Units

These Zamil side discharge condensing units incorporate the latest innovative
technology to provide quiet and reliable performance. KY Series units can be
combined with a wide variety of evaporator coils and blower packages to provide
quiet and dependable comfort. Available in cool only models as well as a heat
pump version. These units cover range of capacities from 1.5 TR - 5 TR (5 kW - 17.5 kW).

keeping in mind compact spaces, lighter weight and ruggedness. They are
designed for use in systems where there is a need to separate the outdoor &
indoor units and can be located away from the conditioned space to eliminate
sound from the user areas. The CY series units can be combined with a variety of
evaporator coils and air handlers to provide energy saving, quiet operation and
dependable comfort. These units deliver capacities ranging from 2.5 TR – 30 TR
(9kW – 105 kW) and are available with R-22 refrigerant gas.

Air Cooled Condensing Units for R-134a Refrigerant
(Top Discharge)
Zamil CBX condensing units are ruggedly built and specially designed for use
with environment friendly refrigerant R-134a (ODP=0). These units are
designed for use in systems where there is a need to separate the outdoor and
indoor units. Remote installation provides an advantage when it comes to
sound, as the unit can be located away from conditioned space. These units
can be matched with any Air handlers which are designed to run with R-134a
refrigerant to provide quiet operation and dependable comfort and are
available from 2.5 TR to 30 TR (9kW -105 kW). R-134a units are value added
products addressing the issues relating to environmental protection and
international regulations.

Vertical Packaged Units
The Zamil wall-mounted, vertical packaged units (PV Series) are designed
specifically for optimum cooling, convenience and dependability. This makes
them the perfect choice for even the most demanding applications, such as
those found in the telecom industry, as well as for general air conditioning
applications. This self-contained unit features sheet metal panels designed to
provide easy service access for all the components - even two units that are
mounted side by side with minimal space in between. These units cover a
range of capacities from 3 TR - 5 TR (10 kW - 17.5 kW), suitable for outdoor
installation in normal or telecommunication shelter applications.

The DWX series is a ducted type concealed chilled water FCU specifically
designed to fit particularly in any narrow and limited space false ceiling. Perfect
for cooling/heating applications of high-rise buildings, offices, malls, hospitals,
schools, mosques, etc. This series offers the ultimate combination of energy
saving design, superior engineering features and flexibility of application
required by today’s markets. These units deliver capacities ranging from 200
CFM - 2,000 CFM (340 M³/hr - 3,400 M³/hr).

DCX Series:
DCX 02 - 14
Concealed Fan Coil Units
The DCX series ducted horizontal concealed fan coils specifically designed for
DISTRICT COOLING APPLICATIONS. The units are designed to operate at
higher Delta T requirement ranging from 14°F to 16°F (7.7°C - 8.9°C) typically
prevailing in district cooling applications. All maintenance and utility connection
are on one side for easy access, back and bottom return air options are
provided. The units are available from 200 CFM - 1400 CFM (340 M³/hr - 2380
M³/hr) and can work up to 0.5" ESP.

3 TR - 30 TR (10kW - 105kW). Home owners, architects and Industrial establishments will appreciate its convenient capacity range and flexibility which will allow
them to group rooms together and supply them the conditioned air providing the

system. The PY series of packaged units not only provide efficient, low cost

of 3 TR - 30 TR (10 kW - 105 kW). This flexibility allows them to group rooms
together and supply them the conditioned air from dedicated packaged unit(s),
thus providing flexibility and the ultimate in individual comfort to each zone. These

The PX series has been designed to meet all the requirements of light
commercial/industrial applications. Units in this series come with a comprehensive

It uses only selected reliable and efficient components to ensure trouble free
operations with minimum operating cost.
PX series units provide a whole spectrum of options and features designed to meet
every project need. These units are available in convenient dimensions with easy
site conversion to/from horizontal/vertical configurations for added flexibility of
downward air discharge.
TW Series:

Double Skin Air Handling Units
This series has been developed and designed to meet the environmental,
hygienic and engineering demands with highest quality. This series is ideally
suited for different applications with high flexibility in both engineering and design
to meet the most demanding requirements with overall total value based upon
life-expectancy, functionality, energy efficiency and serviceability.
The series features excellent thermal and sound insulation and choice of any
combination of high efficiency functional sections for indoor or outdoor applications to satisfy all customers requirements.
These units are available in 17 different sizes to handle air volumes between
826 CFM - 70,800 CFM (1400 m³/hr -120,000 m³/hr).

CAH Series:

Commercial Double Skin Air Handling Units
CAH units are designed for central air conditioning in commercial premises, and
residential applications such as houses, stores, shops, commercial complexes,
offices, showrooms, hotels, restaurants, theaters… etc.
This series provides all the basic air conditioning functions: heating, cooling,
filtration, humidifying, drying… etc. These units are available in 15 different sizes
to handle air volumes between 826 CFM - 53,100 CFM (1400 m³/hr -90,000 m³/hr).
GTW Series:

Grand Double Skin Air Handling Units
This series has been designed especially for those requirements with high capacities when the conventional concepts of air handling unit design are insufficient to
handle high-air volumes and high-static and dynamic pressures where the
construction must withstand the additional stress imposed.
Frames and panels are tailor-made for the extra-ordinary demands expected
without detracting from the quality of the air conditioning, sound absorption,
thermal insulation and efficiency in addition to the ease of assembly, transportation and maintenance.
GTW units are mainly used in Electrical substations and Power Plants, Industrial
applications, Oil and Gas facilities, Petrochemical plants, large ventilation applications, etc.
These units are available in 6 different sizes to handle air volumes between
73,750 CFM - 138,650 CFM (125,000 m³/hr -235,000 m³/hr).
PMY Series:

Modular Packaged Units
This modular series of packaged units is developed specifically for outdoor applications and can
be installed either on rooftops and/or at ground level, making them suitable for large commercial,
industrial and institutional applications. These units deliver capacities ranging from 20 TR - 70 TR
(70 kW - 246 kW). These unit are also available in enviromental friendly R-407c/R-134a
refrigerant gas. Inner skin available as an option. Economizer, dampers, fresh air hood and U -V
lamps are also available as options.

PRX Series:
PRX 020 - 095
Modular Packaged Units
The open design architecture of these compact Modular Package units makes it
possible for consultants and contractors to make their choice of air filtration
insulation thickness of 1" or 2", inner skin, supply and return air arrangement. This
new choice includes rigid structure, small foot print series, with capacities ranging
from 20 TR - 95 TR (70 kW - 334 kW) makes it the perfect choice for industrial and
commercial applications.
PAX Series:
PAX 020 - 075
Modular Packaged Units
New modular packaged units are exclusively designed to use ozone friendly
HFC-134a refrigerant. HFC-134a is a singular compound form with proven highly
efficient thermodynamic properties. The compound has no chlorine and does not
contribute to Ozone depletion. There will be no phase out and no replacement
costs for the life of the equipment. HFC-134a equipments are value added
products and a giant leap toward addressing some of the issues relating to climate
change and environmental protection.
Standard units are supplied with front supply air and front return air arrangement
to provide optimum installation flexibility. Available in horizontal and vertical duct
configurations.
These units can be provided with additional modules and accessories such as
mixing box, bag filters, low velocity filters, economizer, drip eliminator, ultra violate
lamps, fresh air damper with hood…etc.
Units are available with 1'' or 2'' insulation and inner skin as an option.
These units deliver capacity ranging from 20TR - 75TR (70 kW - 264 kW).
BWM Series

Air Handling Units - (Chilled Water)
Chilled water modular air handling unit provides a complete selection of components to fulfil all
your air handling requirements such has forward or backward curved fans, economizer, mixing
box, bag filter sections and IAQ options. Each unit can be made either of horizontal or vertical
arrangement to suit various supply, return and fresh air arrangements which make these units
flexible for any application. Units are available with 1" or 2" insulation, inner skin as an option.
These units deliver capacity ranging from 20TR - 90TR (70 kW - 316 kW).

Direct expansion Modular air handling unit provides a complete solution to indoor
requirements. Each unit can be made either of horizontal or vertical arrangement
to suit various supply, return and fresh air arrangements which make these units
flexible for any application.
The unit can be provided with additional modules and accessories such as mixing
box, bag filters, low velocity filters, economizer, drip eliminator, ultra violate lamp,
manual fresh air damper with rain hood…etc. The units are suitable for indoor and
outdoor applications with matching wide range of condensing units. Units are

MAC Series:

A/C System
ZAC Mobile A/C Systems are produced with aluminium, galvanized or stainless
steel enclosure, and designed to meet the needs of a wide range of applications,
such as hydrocarbon, petrochemical plants, airport ground support, shipyards
emergency cooling for utilities, buildings and hospitals. The system consists of
one or more special heavy-duty blowers having static pressure that ranges from
1" to 25" W.G (according to the application) to deliver the optimum high
performance at the most difficult environment under a very high ambient temperature and relative humidity.
MAC series is designed for integration with a wide range of accessories and
optional items, starting from the power generator to the advanced air filteration
process. ZAC Mobile A/C is available in cooling range of 10 to 70 tons (35 kW 246 kW).
Motor cab option is also available.

Air Cooled Condensing Units
Zamil air cooled condensing units are designed to provide engineering excellence
in comfort air conditioning and industrial cooling with a superior combination of

These units can be combined with a wide variety of evaporator coils and blower
packages to provide quite and dependable comfort. These units can be installed
on roof tops or at ground level.These units have been designed to use R-22
refrigerant with energy efficient Scroll and semi hermetic reciprocating
compressors.These units are available in the capacities ranging from 20 TR 190 TR (70 kW – 670 kW)

Zamil air cooled condensing units are designed to provide engineering excellence

Air Cooled Screw Water Chillers with R-134a
These series of Zamil Air Cooled Screw Chillers are developed ideally for
industrial applications, high-rise buildings, commercial centers, hotels, hospitals
and modern manufacturing industries. They offer the ultimate combination of
energy saving design, superior engineering and flexibility of application required by
today’s markets. Also, these series have been designed to operate with R-134a
refrigerant for a friendlier environment and can operate up to 130°F (55°C)
ambient temperature, delivering capacities ranging from 50 TR - 487 TR (158 kW 1715 kW).

Air Cooled Reciprocating Water Chillers with R-22
Zamil Air Cooled Reciprocating Chillers are designed to meet the various require ments of air conditioning applications, such as hotels, high-rise buildings,
commercial centers, hospitals and modern manufacturing industries. These
series offer the ultimate combination of energy saving design, superior engineer ing features and flexibility of application required by today’s markets. These units
are designed to operate with R-22 refrigerant and can operate at 125°F (52°C)
ambient temperature, delivering capacities ranging from 40 TR - 420 TR (140 kW 1479 kW).
ALY Series:
ALY 010 - 80A
Air Cooled Scroll Water Chillers with R-22
Zamil Air Cooled Scroll Chiller is the core of most central air conditioning systems
for residential, medium-sized buildings and smaller industrial applications. It
consist of one or more hermetic scroll compressors, air-cooled condenser coils
with condenser fan(s) and motor(s), insulated liquid cooler, expansion device,
interconnecting refrigerant piping, oil and refrigerant charge, control panel and
wiring, and other auxiliaries.
These units have been designed to operate with R-22 refrigerant and can
operate at 122°F (48°C) ambient temperature, delivering capacities ranging from
10 TR - 80 TR (35 kW - 281 kW).

ALY Series:
ALY 010 - 70C
Air Cooled Scroll Water Chillers with R-407C
ALY series Air Cooled Scroll Chillers are available in capacity range 10 TR to 70
TR (35 kW - 246 kW) at ARI conditions in one single enclosure. These chillers are
very suitable for residential, medium size buildings and light industrial applica tions and they utilize ozone friendly refrigerant R-407c as working fluid with
option of three different power supply ratings.
These units have been designed to operate at 122°F (48°C) ambient temperature.
ASh Series:
ASh 100 - 415B
“Ecochill” High Efficiency Air Cooled Water Chillers
Today’s energy conservation demands are accelerating. The “Ecochill” is
designed for selective customers who are looking for higher efficiency, greater
reliability, lower noise levels and easy maintenance chillers while operating at
very high ambient temperatures. The cooling capacity range is 100 to 415 tons
(350 kW – 1460 kW) working with R 134a. The “Ecochill” offers EER up to 10.9 at
full load and IPLV up to 14 at partial load.
These units have been designed to operate at 130°F (55°C) ambient temperature. They consume less energy, thus less operating cost and positive contribution
to “Greener Earth”.
ASW Series:
ASW 060 - 660
Water Cooled Screw Chillers
Zamil’s water cooled Screw Chillers (ASW Series) offer the optimum performance
and highest efficiency possible for the Gulf’s harsh environment and abnormal
operating conditions. The ASW Chillers provide central cooling for commercial
and industrial applications with the highest reliability and lowest operating cost
combination. These Chillers utilize high efficiency Dual Screw Compressors in
combination with a Water Cooled Condenser for every refrigerant circuit. The
cooling capacity range is from 60 to 660 tons (211 kW – 2320 kW) working with
refrigerant R134a.
These units have been designed to operate at 115°F (46°C) condenser leaving
water temperature

ASP Series:
ASP 010 - 500
Air Cooled or water Cooled custom built chillers complete with hydronic system
including water tank, pumps, expansion tank, piping, valves and all necessary
controls and accessories required for process cooling applications.
The cooling capacity range is 10 tons to 500 tons (35 kW – 1750 kW). These units
have been designed to operate at 130°F (55°C) ambient temperature.

Operating Theatre Ceiling
Clean Air LAM system
The supply air operating theatre ceiling generates stabile displacement air flow
(laminar flow) in the area of the operating slab.The plenum is made of stainless
steel, while the outlet is a polyester mesh with stainless steel frame to uniform the
air in the outlet. Airflow capacities range from 1400 CFM - 4410 CFM (2,400 M³/hr 7,500 M³/hr).

BMS (Building Automation System) solutions for a wide range of HVAC control
