MCM 2110 NTD
50-cm-(21")-Color Monitor
As a result of the rapidly increasing use
of graphics and CAD applications on PC
systems, there is also a growing demand for ever larger, more powerful and
ergonomically enhanced monitors in the
office environment. Thanks to its high
refresh rates, the 50 cm (21") color
monitor is totally flicker-free even at high
resolutions. This makes the MCM 2110
NTD the ideal monitor for all today’s
professional graphics applications with
the highest standards. (N=NUTEK,
T=TCO’95, D=DDC=Display Data
Channel)
50 cm (21") screen diagonal
Larger display areas are needed to
derive most benefit from working with
graphical user interfaces (e.g. CAD,
DTP, presentation software).
The MCM 2110 NTD therefore features
a 50 cm visible screen diagonal. The
high resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels,
combined with the fine dot pitch (0.26
mm) guarantees exceptionally brilliant
and also up to 85 Hz high frequence,
flickerfree, coloured pictures..
The MCM 2110 NTD can be connected
to all graphics cards used in Siemens
PC and is optimally supported by the
high-end graphics processors.
Optimum ergonomics
With its screen refresh rate of 100 Hz
and higher up to a resolution of 1280 x
1024 pixels, the MCM 2110 NTD monitor - when combined with suitable
Siemens high-end graphics processors can produce a completely flicker-free
image. Special features include the topquality, glare-free, flat picture tube and
excellent contrast.
The MCM 2110 NTD meets the requirements of ISO 9241-3, giving users
optimum ergonomic design features.
Power management
The VESA DPMS multilevel power management functionality permits substantial energy savings to be made. (VESA =
Video Electronic Standard Association,
DPMS = Display Power Management
Signaling). When the MCM 2110 NTD is
combined with suitable PCs, the total
power draw significantly undercuts the
EPA limit value of max. 30 W (EPA =
Environmental Protection Agency, USA).
In Power Off mode, the MCM 2110 NTD
needs less than 5 W, and therefore also
complies with the limit value specified by
NUTEK (Swedish office for industrial
and technological development).
This monitor is therefore another
Siemens product that meets the demand for environment-friendly technology.
Low radiation
The MCM 2110 NTD is GS-approved
and conforms to the particularly stringent Swedish MPR II and TCO’95 recommendations. TCO’95 also certifies
the exemplary environmental compatibility of the monitor.
Flexibility
An integrated tilt-and-swivel base allows
the monitor to be set to the ideal viewing
angle and makes it easy for the user to
adjust the display to suit the prevailing
lighting conditions.
The Digital Control System makes it
easy to adjust and save picture size and
position settings. Controls for adjusting
pincushion and trapezoidal distortion
can be used to set the picture symmetrically or for the right-hand side separately, thereby guaranteeing straight
lines are produced right to the edge of
the screen. The tilt control allows simple
correction of minor image rotation resulting from the earth’s magnetic field. It
is also possible to adjust the color to suit
individual viewing requirements and for
print output.
The moiré reduction feature allows image quality to be optimized even with
critical patterns and colors.
All the controls are located at the front of
the monitor, putting them in easy reach
of the user.
Plug and Play
The new MCM 2110 NTD has the capability to exchange specific data with
suitably equipped PCs via the VESA
DDC1/2B interface; this enables the PC
to adjust its settings automatically so
that it is optimized for operation with the
connected monitor.
