Drilling the pilot bore hole
Use pilot drill no. 11181. Oversize of the pilot drill is 0.02 mm.
Minimum depth of the pilot bore hole: 3xD.
2.
Entering the pilot bore hole with a deep hole drill
Insert the drill into the pilot bore hole with a low rotation speed
(n = 300 rpm) and a slow feed rate (Vf = 1000 mm/min). Stop
the feed 1–2 mm away from reaching the base of the pilot bore
hole and increase the rotation speed continuously until you
reach the cycle speed.
3.
Deep hole drilling
Increase the feed rate to the cycle speed and drill to the desired drilling depth without removing chips.
4.
Exiting deep bore hole
Move the drill outwards up to around the depth of the pilot
bore hole. Reduce the rotation speed continuously until you
reach a low speed (n = 300 rpm). Use a normal feed rate
(Vf = 3000 mm/min) when moving the drill out of the bore.
For through-bores the feed should be reduced by 50 % when
exiting the bore. This helps to minimize the risk of cutting
edges erupting.

•On a 30° polished trapezoidal thread with special anti-friction coating for low friction,
providing exact centring when tightening the clamping nut
•Collect chuck sits completely on the chuck cone, enabling double the retention force compared to conventional collet chucks (holding torque at Ø12 = 160 nM)
•Clamping forces are evenly distributed across the entire cylindrical shell surface and perfect surfaces are achieved via the perfectly absorbed radial forces and also thanks to the
very good damping properties

•High-quality tool steel, gas-nitrided (hardened)

Application:
The newly developed multi-twist drill has
been specifically developed for mobile use
on cordless drill screwdrivers and drills. The
drill works to optimum effect up to a panel
thickness of 5 mm.

•Twist drill with special geometry for mobile
use
Advantages:
•Three-faced polished section on the shank
ensures optimum power transmission
and fixing in the drill chuck, slippage is
no longer possible, little force required to
open and close within the drill chuck
•40° twist angle ensures reliable removal
of chippings during universal use. Higher
cutting speeds with increased stability and
accuracy
•Special coating in conjunction with relief
grinding ensures maximum adhesion of
the lubricant and reliable chip removal
•135° tip angle ensures very high degree
of precision of the bore hole, in particular
with hand-held applications in the cordless
drill screwdriver thanks to the innovative
centre cutting, reduced cutting forces
(longer battery life) and optimum centring
