FIBER OPTIC CONNECTION
Select a quality fiber optic cable containing 62.5/125 fiber. Attach ST style fiber optic connectors using
the connector manufacturer's recommended procedures. Connect the fiber optic cable from the ST
connector marked "OPTICAL CABLE" on the VIC5211M series module to the ST connector marked
“OPTICAL CABLE” on the VIC5211R series module.
CAMERA CONNECTION
Attach a 75-ohm coaxial cable (terminated with BNC connectors) from the video output BNC connector
of the camera to the "VIDEO IN" BNC connector on the VIC5211R series module.
MONITOR CONNECTION
Attach a 75-ohm coaxial cable terminated with BNC connectors from the video input connector of the
monitor to the "VIDEO OUT" connector on the VIC5211M series module.
MICROPHONE GAIN & SPEAKER VOLUME ADJUSTMENTS
Both “MICROPHONE GAIN” and “SPEAKER VOLUME” potentiometers are located on the VIC5211M
modules. Adjust either potentiometer for optimum performance.
MOUNTING STAND-ALONE UNITS
Hold the VIC5211M or VIC5211R series module against the mounting surface and mark the locations of
the keyhole slots on the rear mounting brackets. Install mounting screws into keyhole marks, allowing leeway
under the screw heads for the box to be mounted. Mount the brackets over the screws, slide, and tighten.
