The YSF6 range of medium voltage (MV)
equipment was produced by Schneider Electric
in Australia under its legacy brands Yorkshire
Switchgear and Merlin Gerin between 1982 and
2001. Today, we can extend the life of your MV
installation with the Yorkshire retrofit - a simple
‘roll-out, roll-in’ solution for the existing SF6 gas
circuit breaker. The type tested design has been
engineered to be fully compatible with the
existing cubicle. With minimal downtime and
disruption to your electrical network, you can
easily upgrade to the latest circuit breaker
technology and extend the life of your YSF6
switchgear. This also provides significant cost
savings to your business, when compared to the
total cost of replacing an entire switchboard. You
can spread the cost of upgrading by phasing the
retrofit program according to budget availability.
