Meeting the next generation of U.S. EPA stringent air quality energy emission limits has become significantly easier for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities in the Pennsylvania Market through an ENERActive Solutions project teaming arrangement with All4 Inc. (ALL4) - a nationally recognized environmental air quality consulting company. The team arrangement of both Eneractive Solutions and ALL4 brings enhanced services for clients who need to be in compliance with air quality issues on a source by source basis. What is RACT? The lowest emissions limitation that a particular source is capable of meeting by the application of Control Technology that is Reasonably Available considering technological and economic feasibility. When must I comply? The RACT compliance date is set for January 1, 2017 for Pennyslvania Markets. Who must comply with RACT? Existing “major sources” of either of the ozone precursor pollutants; nitrogen oxides (NOX) or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are affected by RACT and must comply. Eneractive Solutions Power Plant Division provides independent Power Plant services specializing in analysis, design development, technology screening, implementation and project management oversight. SO,WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? Under the Clean Air Act (CAA), states across the country are required to submit plans [i.e., state implementation plans or (SIPs)], detailing how state regulatory agencies will attain and/or maintain the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for The certain “criteria” pollutants. Such date is pollutants are primary constituents mandated by the of power providing sources, such U.S. EPA and those as engines, turbines, and boilers, applicable facilities etc. The application of RACT is must demonstrate one regulatory tool that states use compliance to attain and maintain the NAAQS. Existing "major sources" of either of the ozone precursor pollutants; nitrogen oxides (NOX) or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are affected by RACT and must comply by January 1, 2017. RACT proposals, applications, and related documentation must be substituted within six (6) months of the final publication of the rule in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. HOW ENERACTIVE CAN HELP: If your facility is impacted by the RACT 2 regulation and you have emission units that you would like to evaluate, retrofit, and/or meet emission requirements, our team of experts can help you develop a complete strategy. The Eneractive strategy would include: 1. An evaluation of rule applicability to your emissions units (i.e., applicable emissions limitations and/or work practices) 2. Effectiveness of installing air pollution technology/controls WANT MORE INFO? CONTACT US!
