Academic and Corporate Internship Dress Code for Gentlemen
What is required
Shirt

1. A white, long sleeved, uniform
oxford shirt with SJDCHS logo.
This shirt must be purchased from
Risse Brothers. This will be worn
on the designated work day and
any Mass day.
2. A SJDCHS black polo with
logo, or any other polo shirt sold
by SJDCHS with the SJDCHS
logo. This may be worn on nonwork & non-Mass days.
A plain, white undershirt.
Conservative trousers or dress
slacks, with belt loops – MUST
BE BLACK OR GREY IN COLOR
and PROFESSIONAL IN LOOK.
The custom tie from Risse
Brothers is required beginning
2013-2014.
Black shoes of leather or leatherlike material. Suede is allowed,
though any other material must
hold a shine.
Black crew socks.
A simple black leather or leatherlike belt, worn inside the belt
loops of the trousers.
What is appropriate
Any non-uniform shirt.
Any black or grey trouser or
dress slack, with belt loops
either from Risse Brothers or
any other store.
A custom SJDCHS tie from
Risse Brothers.
Though not required, a
wristwatch is recommended for
the sake of better managing
one’s time. It should be easily
covered by the cuffs of the shirt
sleeve. One ring and/or
bracelet per hand is allowed.

large rivets, spikes, gems or other
distracting decorations.

teeth, or mouth jewelry (“grills”).

shirt. Solid or pin-striped suits
of conservative colors (black,
brown, dark grey, dark blue)
are permitted on special
occasions if the SJDCHS
oxford is worn.
Hats, Caps &
Bandanas
Facial hair, including a mustache,
beard, or goatee, or sideburns past
the ear. Fingernails extending more
than 1/8” beyond the fingertip.
(Students who fail to shave at home
will be expected to do so at school.)
Any other color sweater that is not
black, grey or white. Hoodies
(even SJDCHS hoodies) are not
permitted and will be confiscated
if worn in the classroom or to
work. Outerwear with logos or
hoods. Sweatshirts. Bulky jackets.
Any fleece that is not ordered
through SJDCHS. Turtleneck
sweaters. Denim jackets.
All forms of headgear.

What is required
Blouse
Slacks or Skirt
1. A black, ¾ sleeve blouse with
SJDCHS logo, sold by Parker
Uniforms.
2. A SJDCHS black polo with logo,
or any other polo shirt sold by
SJDCHS with the SJDCHS logo.
This may be worn on non-work &

Parker Uniform or Risse Brothers.
Parker supplies a black and white
herringbone pattern skirt and Risse
Brothers supplies a grey, flannel
skirt. Skirts must not be shorter
than 2” in length above the midknee.
What is appropriate
Any non-uniform blouse or polo
purchased from a vendor other
than Parker Uniform or Risse
Brothers is not permitted.
Any black or grey trousers
or dress slacks from any
vendor.
Dress
Black, professional dress shoes.
A flat or dress shoe with a
modest bow or any other
modest decoration as long
as the decoration is also all
black.
Hosiery or black socks.
Knee socks or stockings
that fall anywhere between
the mid-ankle and midknee.
A custom SJDCHS tie from
Risse Brothers is optional.
This tie can be purchased
through Risse Brothers.
