Please ensure that the mains voltage corresponds with that shown on the rating plate. Severe temperature fluctuations can lead to the formation of condensation on the electrical components. Use: Turn the waxer/polisher over so that the foam cushion is pointing upwards. Place a terry towelling bonnet on it. Make sure that the bonnet is central, sits tightly on the foam cushion and cannot rub on the housing. Always use a high quality product for waxing. Follow the working methods given on the packaging. Apply the wax/polish directly to the contact surface of the bonnet. In order to achieve a thin, complete covering, use only slightly more material than is absolutely necessary. Spread the wax/polish evenly over the bonnet. It should also cover the bonnet edges. Turn the waxer/polisher over again and place it on the surface to be polished. Applying too much wax/polish does not achieve a better finish and you will spend more time later removing the coating. Heavily oxidised paintwork will require the use of a special cleaner. For this use a combined product (cleaner + wax). Check again that all the safety requirements have been fulfilled. Grasp both handles on the device firmly with your hands and start the tool using the switch. Guide the waxer/polisher over the paintwork. Attention! Do not press on the waxer/ polisher! The self weight of the device alone is all that is necessary for the polishing process. Corners and recesses that cannot be accessed with the polisher should be treated afterwards by hand using the bonnet taken off the polisher. Use the second bonnet for the subsequent final polishing or removal of the wax. When working, always follow the instructions for use of the wax/polish. Maintenance and cleaning Always wash the terry bonnet by hand and allow it to dry in the open air. When not in use, your polisher should be stored without the terry bonnet in place and with the foam cushion pointing upwards to allow the foam cushion to dry and retain its original shape. Please note that the use of excessive amounts of wax or polish can result in the bonnet coming off the foam cushion. Use mild soap and a moist cloth to clean the polishing bonnet. Make sure that the mains lead cannot come into contact with the waxer/polisher. Work more safely by guiding the mains lead over your shoulder. 11 BA_Ident-No_AT-369-092004_Inhalt.indd 11 GB 18.10.2004 15:25:58 Uhr English Safety advice Do not use the waxer/polisher near inflammable liquids or materials, or explosive gases.
