Abseiling Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
An exciting, challenging and rewarding activity that takes place on one of our safe and purpose-built towers. Our
experienced and qualified instructors will coach and support each participant through the activity ensuring the
correct techniques are used. All participants will be encouraged to think about and discuss the hazards and
potential risks of the activity. They will also be shown and will discuss the safety elements involved and what the
purpose of each PPE item is. The activity aims to introduce challenge by choice; develop confidence, control and
trust as they make their way down the abseil face.

All Starz Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
A great team ‘Sunset Session’ where participants are placed in teams, working together they must complete a
number of challenging brain teasers and tasks that are places around the centre. They will need to use a number
problem solving skills, teamwork, orienteering, communication and listening skills to enable them to complete the
challenges. The teams will aim to gain as many stars and points as possible to place them at the top of the ‘Starz
Leader Board’.

Archery Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
The basics of this very popular activity are quickly learned after being shown the basic techniques and having
opportunity the practise the new found skill. Following on from a safety briefing where participants are
encouraged to discuss the potential risks and hazards involve in target sports and the range used for the activity.
Using recurve bows and 1.3m targets participants will further develop their coordination and accuracy during the
course of the activity. A series of games will played and further skills and team work will be developed by
participants. Feedback and reviews will be used as an opportunity to assess performance and share opinions.

Activity Description:
Exploring the natural environment and coastline, a great opportunity in learning to appreciate nature. During the
session participants will explore the beach, rock pools, flora and fauna. They will also have the opportunity to take

Body Zorbing Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
This activity can be a team or individual activity. It is an activity where participants are strapped securely inside the
Body Zorbs. During this activity they will learn new skills, play games as teams or on an individual one to one basis.
Participants are only ever inside the Body Zorbs for short periods of time to avoid exertion, this also allows them to
join in and support their peers during the team games. A variety of games will be played during the activity once
the basic skills of getting in and out, rolling backwards and forwards and completing a 360 degree roll are attained.

Buggy Builder Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
Working in teams to design and construct a moving buggy, no motors are involved, think of the Flintstone’s! The
safety briefing will allow all participants to consider the risks, assess the potential hazards involved in the
construction, riding and movement of the Buggy and adopt the appropriate control measures. Groups will need to
focus on using the correct equipment to enable fluid movement of their buggy, it will also need to be stable and
secure enough to carry team members and to enable them to complete the challenges during the activity.

Campfire Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
A ‘Sunset Session’ in which everyone can join in an old traditional fun activity. Making music, singing songs,
performing stars, group performances in teams, audience participation and the casting of votes makes this an
activity full of fun, harmonious voices and laughter. All of this set around the camp fire, for stories, performances
and sunset.

Den Building Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
An activity designed to allow participants to use their imaginations! During the briefing participant’s will be asked
to consider the risks, hazards, safety elements and control measures they need to include in the designs of their
Dens. A fun session allowing participants to work in teams and design together their den, a shelter that will protect
them from the elements of the weather and dangers they may face in living in a natural environment. The next
challenge is to see if they can survive in their dens by night. Be sure to add ‘Den by Night’ to your activity choices.

Den Survival by Night Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
Following on from the daytime ‘Survival’ and ‘Den Building’ sessions, this challenge allows the participants to
experience a night in the natural environment and under the protection of their self-made Den. During the evening
briefing participant’s will be asked to consider the risks, hazards, safety elements and control measures they need
to include to enable them to remain, safe, warm and protected from the elements. Participants will learn about fire
making, risks and control measures required. Once prepared and settled for the evening the campfire will be lit and
everyone can join in with the campfire songs, fun and laughter.

All the latest ‘Tunes’! An evening of socialising with others from outside of their own groups, ‘mix n mingle’ of

Activity Description:
An activity where participants explore and discover the impact of the operation on the centre. The focus of the
activity is to demonstrate what impact humans have on the environment and what measures can be taken in their
home lives to reduce the impact. Participants will also be able to identify measures being taken on centre to reduce
the impact and support nature within its environment.

A fascinating and ancient Olympic activity where participants will learn the essentials of this disciplined sport.
Participants will take part in a full safety briefing, introducing them to the rules, equipment used, their names and
the skills and techniques required. As the confidence within the participants grows they will be able to hone and
further refine their new found skills. In competing in friendly competitions they will look to identify hazards
associated with attack and defence and how they can control these.

Activity Description:
This fun ‘Sunset Session’ brings old favourite characters and suspects to life, with the added twist of a few new
ones to spice things up. The object of the session is to determine who did it in this murder, mystery and suspense
activity. Groups will be challenged to complete team and individual tasks around the centre that will assist them in
identifying, who was murdered, in which location and with what weapon.

Activity Description:
An exciting and exhilarating activity for budding F1 drivers! Participants will be taught the basic skills required to
drive and control the Go Karts on a custom built track. While having fun out on the track the participants will also
hone in their skills in driving, improve their decision making, reflexes and precision control skills.

Junior Olympics Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
This challenging taster activity allows participants to take part in a number of Olympic sports and races. After
safety briefings and instructions in the use of the equipment participants will be asked to consider the risks
involved in activities and what control measures should be put into place. Teams will sample and take part in
activities where they will need to use their coordination, timing, speed, strength and balance. Competing within
teams each competitor will take part in each event, scores and achievements recorded and support their fellow
team members through each event. Teams will aim to score high points to win medals in each event and win team
medals with combined scores.

form of entertainment for all young and old. Bring in the ‘A Factor’ judges and mentors to provide support and
encouragement for the budding stars. Now throw in some dances and moves everyone will know and it becomes a
great way to see the stars and judges of the future up on stage!

Mini Beasts Adventure Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
Investigating the undergrowth to discover what lives in and around us, their natural habitats, and environments
and identifying what the newly discovered Mini Beasts are. During the session participants will use magni jars and
pooters to collect the Mini Beasts, they will identify them by comparing them to a ‘Mini Beast Identification’ Chart
and using their own knowledge or previous experience of the Mini Beast world. They will then look to recreate the
habitat of the Mini Beast and create a collage of their favourite discoveries. On review participants will consider
the impact of humans within the Mini Beast environment.

Activity Description:
This activity allows the participants to take part in an adventurous sport that will challenge their minds and allowing
them to develop their problem solving, map reading, teamwork and communication skills. Working in teams
participants will need to identify locations on the centre and orientate themselves and locate the markers within
the vicinity. Their aim is to navigate their way between control points shown on a bespoke orienteering map.
Following on from the activity an end of session review will allow the participants to discuss how they have
competed as a team, feedback on improvements on performance, identify personal and team challenges that they
encountered during the activity.

bomb. Challenges are set to test the durability of the ‘Protection’ through a series of ever increasing tough and

them to build the protection that will surround their team bomb. Teams are then set the challenge of building their
protective device that will surround their team bomb. Once all completed the gruelling challenges start, which
bomb will survive?!

this activity. Participants are grouped together and carry will carry out an investigation, where they will be

Participants will learn more about the human senses and develop their own senses in a series of challenges, games

Activity Description:
Participants will explore the fundamental skills required for them to survive in the wild out of the home and a
protected environment. The session is designed to help them protect themselves and overcome danger from
nature, wildlife and the natural elements. Working in small team’s participants will develop new skills such as
Morse Code, safe fire lighting and building shelters. This can be delivered as a stand-alone activity or combined
with Den Building and Den Survival by Night.

Tri-Golf Learning Outcomes
Activity Description:
A great introduction to this very popular sport, the basics are quickly learned after being shown the basic
techniques and having opportunity the practise the new found skill. Following on from a safety briefing where
participants are encouraged to discuss the potential risks and hazards involved in club, distance and target sports.
Participants will use a number of techniques and various clubs appropriate to the distance and area involved to
complete the 9 hole course. A series of games will played and further skills will be developed by participants.
Feedback and reviews will be used as an opportunity to assess performance and share opinions.

Activity Description:
A great opportunity for all participants to attempt to walk on water! An activity where there’s water but no need
to get wet. Challenging participants to stay up and propel themselves the furthest across the pool. Participants will
be able to run, flip and spin in the giant watertight hamster balls without getting wet! Fun for everyone watching

Activity Description:
This fun and adrenaline fuelled activity sees participants further developing skills, building trust, confidence and
challenging themselves. After a safety briefing where participants will discuss the associated risks, hazards, control
measures and activity requirements. They will then learn the necessary techniques to allow them to travel down
the Zip Wire and egress from the wire safely at the end of their turn.
