APPLICATIONS
SuperCAT1000 4 pair UTP horizontal and patch cables have been developed to support current and next generation applications operating at 2.4 Gb/s utilizing 250 MHz
bandwidth. These cables exceed the TIA/EIA 568B.2-1 requirements.
SuperCat1000 cables are constructed with four highly balanced pairs, locked in position by a central spacer. Each pair consists of two precision engineered 23 AWG conductors (horizontal cable) or 24 AWG stranded conductors (patch cable) to ensure low
loss, high balance and minimum crosstalk performance. The core is enclosed with a
highly flexible PVC jacket. A great variety of jacket colors is available.
The cable is available in plenum and non-plenum versions and a great variety of jacket
colors. Standard package is 1000 ft. reel and reel-in-a-box.

CONSTRUCTION
1. CONDUCTORS
Solid bare 23 AWG copper except for the patch, which is 24 AWG tinned stranded
copper.
2. INSULATION
Plenum rated version has a foamed Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) insulation;
riser rated version uses foamed polyethylene (PE).

3. CIRCUIT IDENTIFICATION
Standard blue/orange/green/brown color code with band marks to identify paired
conductors. Specially formulated insulation makes these colors vivid for easier
identification.
4. SPACER
Improves cable electrical performance.
5. OVERALL JACKET
Plenum versions have a plenum-rated polyvinylchloride jacket; riser rated and patch
versions use a flame-retardant PVC.
