The Dedicated Remote Switch is used in 3-way and 4-way applications. It provides auxiliary
control of one or two Simply Automated dimmer switches, wire-in fixture modules
and controlled receptacles. Uses existing 3 or 4-way wires to connect traveler and
neutral wires. The only UPB remote 3-way switch with dual-rocker option and
blue/green LED indication.

Installation
A complete line of
A Universal Phase Coupler is required for all
residential two-phase installations. While some
basic UPB functions can be set via simple push
buttons on the switches and modules, the power
of UPB is best realized by using the Windowsbased UPB configuration tool called UPStart.
UPStart is a free download. UPStart requires a
Computer Interface Module to connect the PC
to the powerline, which can be removed after
configuring. Once installed, a UPB system can
operate independently without a computer or
central controller.

SimplyBrilliant™ UPB Dimming Transceiver Switches provide
ultra-reliable control of new and existing lighting fixtures,
lamps, and fan/pump motors. The models below include
single-rocker and 8-button faceplate choices. The dimmers
are receivers with one output circuit to control loads from 1
to 900 Watts. All switch rockers and buttons are transmitters, able to communicate with other UPB switches, modules
and UPB compatible home automation systems... to control
virtually anything.
Simply Automated’s SimplyBrilliant™ switch bases provide the same ultra-reliable control as
our dimmers and controllers with white faceplates, while offering greater flexibility. Each
dimmer base has at least one switch that controls a single load of up to 900W, and the Deluxe
bases can be field-configured to accept any one of the 13 faceplate styles, available in 6
standard colors. All compatible faceplates are interchangeable in the field without ever
having to untwist a wire nut!
