Alternative construction method Omega to Omega
Description
System 150 consists of clip-in self levelling bevelled edge metal ceiling tiles available in a range of
square and rectangular module sizes. The concealed suspension system utilises a choice of two
Omega bar profiles offering either standard or wide spanning capability. The strength of the Omega
bar combined with a unique tile design allows the tiles to pivot and slide within the suspension system.
This provides hinge-down access to large areas of the ceiling void for maintenance.

Hinge-down access
The unique design allows every tile to pivot and slide within the Omega suspension system permitting
easy hinge-down access to large areas of the void for service maintenance. The tiles are retained in the
grid minimising damage and eliminating the storage requirements. This feature makes System 150 an
ideal solution for highly serviced working environments where regular maintenance and modification is
inevitable. Tiles are accessed using a hook extraction tool.

System 150 Corridor solution
System 150 can be used for corridor applications
providing easy hinge-down access for service
maintenance. Single or multiple tiles of up to
1500mm in length are available ready to install
to span the central area of the corridor width.
To allow for tolerance in the structure and avoid
cut tiles, a plasterboard margin is used at the
corridor perimeters.
The interface between the tile and the plasterboard is achieved by using the aluminium
extrusion TRU-SG-150. TRU-ST-150 provides
a shadowgap detail between the plasterboard
and the wall.
