AQUAZIP ADV
Waterproofers
Use
AQUAZIP ADV is used to waterproof and protect concrete objects, including objects under load, against penetration of
gases such as CO2 and de-icing salts; it is also used as waterproof elastic skim coat on plaster with tiny cracks,
cementitious floor screeds, ceramic floors, plasterboard and marine plywood, before applying ceramic tiles.
Substrate preparation
The application surface must be free of dust, dirt, etc. Any traces of oil, grease, wax etc. must be removed beforehand,
as well as any powdery or loose sections. Before applying AQUAZIP ADV moisten absorbent surfaces with water.
If applying on an existing floor, before using the product make sure that the existing covering is solid and clean.
Mixing and application
For application by hand, add one 10 kg pack of AQUAZIP ADV Comp. B to each 20 kg sack of AQUAZIP ADV Comp. A
and mix by stirrer at low speed until obtaining a uniform and smooth mix: the mix obtained is workable for around 1 hour.
Apply the coating by brush or roller to a maximum thickness of 1 mm. Apply the second coat only when the first coat has
hardened (after around 5 hours) to a maximum thickness of 1 mm. The product can also be applied by trowel. AQUAZIP
ADV can be applied using a plaster sprayer, in the same ways as for application by hand.
If applying the product on especially stressed or cracked structures, in the first coat embed alkali resistant fibreglass mesh
or a layer of nonwoven fabric, using a trowel.
Tile the surface with AD8+DE80, AZ59, AT99, or alternatively, if quick setting products are required, AQ60 and FASSATEC
2, in any case at least 5 days after application of AQUAZIP ADV, in normal humidity and temperature conditions.
Warnings




Wash all the equipment before the product sets. Otherwise, residues of the product must be removed
mechanically.
AQUAZIP ADV must only be used in its original state, without the addition of other materials.
Supply



Component B: buckets, approx. 10 kg
Storage


Component A: store in a dry place for a maximum of 12 months.
