Our Dedication and Success Temporary Millwright Apprentice DMI Peace River Pulp Division is looking to fill the temporary position of a Millwright Apprentice within the Mill’s Maintenance department. The Millwright Apprentice will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mill equipment. As a Team Member within this department, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and be a team player. Expectations for this position include: Able to work a 4-10’s Schedule—Monday to Thursday 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with operational shift work as required; Scheduled and short notice overtime—paid at double the rate; Ongoing career development and expectation that one will complete their Alberta Journeyman Certificate. Qualifications and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent; Previous experience as a Millwright Apprentice through a RAP program will be considered an asset; Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills; Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; Safety conscious individual; Strong work ethic and drive for success; Background in preventative maintenance practices is considered an asset. Industrial experience and knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) will be considered assets.
