However, we also can understand from the scriptures that He is a God of wrath. He does not tolerate sin. From our memory verse we see that men suppress the truth. Why does this happen? Because men love sin and we don’t want to have to face the facts. As we begin our study of Romans, we will see the problem of sin and the consequences of sin. I look forward to preaching from this great book. There has been a lot of white stuff lying around lately. I know we are all ready for spring and a change of season. The truth of the matter is it will come soon enough. We have almost made it through another winter. Spring brings with it a new beginning. I want to challenge you to invite someone to come to church with you this month. Ask them to come and be a part of worship with you. The Lord wants us to reach out to those around us. Let’s be the church to the community around us. Sandy and I are so thankful for you all. I pray that we continue to see the Lord do great things at South Fork for His glory. In His Service, David March 2016 Right now, as I write this, I am sitting beside one of “the greatest construction masterpieces in the world!” My son, Grayson has a plethora of Lego blocks that he has built into his fortified fortress. He has numerous Lego blocks that come in many shapes, sizes, and colors. It is up to him to use his imagination and decide how to join them together to create whatever he wants. The Bible describe believers in Christ the same way. God has built a building that He can love and dwell in. Look at what the word says, Ephesians 2:19-22 - So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, 20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, 21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, 22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. When you surrender your life to Christ, God uses you as a building block to form and shape a vessel He can use for His glory. We belong to Him for His purposes. He has designed us to use in specific ways so that He receives the praise for His workmanship. One lesson we can learn from this is that we belong together as believers. God has joined us together, therefore we are to live that way, no matter the color, shape, or background we came from. Another lesson and the keep lesson in this passage is that Jesus is our foundation, it is Him that we rely on. We will not be able to stand and stay together without Him. Let us rely on Him so that we can be used for His purposes. Impact Student Ministry Event Calendar (Please see Pastor Lee for further details): August 1-6 - Snowbird Summer Camp (We still have two spots left) Resurrection The sleeping earth awakens; the robins start to sing—The flowers open wide their eyes to tell us it is spring. The bleakness of the winter is melted by the sun—The tree that looked so stark and dead becomes a living one. These miracles of Easter, Wrought with divine perfection. Are the blessed reassurances of our Savior’s resurrection. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Lee Reading Through Bible in 2016 WE=Weekend MARCH NUMBERS MARK 1 ■ 26–28 ■ 6:30–56 WE ■ 18–22 ■3 2 ■ 29–31 ■ 7:1–13 28 ■ 23–24 ■ 4:1–41 3 ■ 32–34 ■ 7:14–37 JUDGES 4 ■ 35–36 ■ 8:1–21 29 ■ 1–3 ■ 4:42–5:26 30 ■ 4–5 ■ 5:27–39 DEUT.
