International Payments – Beneficiary names exceeding field allowance
Background: There are occasions where a beneficiary name may exceed the
Beneficiary name character field size on NAB Connect. This guide provides
instructions on how to ensure all the beneficiary details are captured to avoid
payment delays or returns.

Beneficiary Details
Though the Beneficiary name and Beneficiary Address fields appear to be
separate there are actually 4 lines of 35 characters available to key in the
Beneficiary name, address and country. This data is converted into the SWIFT
MT103 message field 59 tag.
For further assistance, call the NAB Connect Client Centre on 1300 888 413.
Subsequently in cases where the beneficiary name exceeds the 35 character
Beneficiary name field size you should simply continue keying the rest of the
beneficiary name into the first line of the Beneficiary Address field.
Note: Abbreviation can be performed on the Beneficiary address if there is still
insufficient space.
