PRODUCT INFORMATION
NEMA 12 and IP 55 Rated Environmental Protection for Non-Hazardous Indoor Locations
Chatsworth Products’ (CPI) RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure provides exceptional protection for network, communication, automation and control equipment in
non-hazardous indoor locations. The RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure features a roll-formed, welded steel frame and mild steel panels with robotically applied
formed-in-place foam gaskets. These features effectively maintain the RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure’s NEMA 12 and IP 55 environmental ratings. These ratings
verify that equipment within the enclosure is protected from the intrusion of solid foreign objects such as dirt, dust, lint and fibers, as well as mild, non-corrosive liquid
ingresses such as light dripping and splashing. In addition, the robust design of the RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure serves to protect personnel from hazardous
moving parts and electrical charges within the enclosure.
While the standard RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure offering is a completely sealed, solid enclosure, it features many modification possibilities, which are available
with short lead times. Multiple filtered fan and cooling options are available to meet ventilation requirements, and in addition, multiple cable entry points and accessories
are available for configuration.
Versatile Equipment Support
The RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure features a welded, roll-formed frame that is punched with attachment points on all interior surfaces to support an array of panel
and equipment installations. The frame may be outfitted with a variety of mounting panels or 19” EIA (482.6 mm) wide rails. Mounting panels are available in quarter-,
half-and full-height options that may be installed on the equipment frame from front to back or side to side of the enclosure. Several quarter- and half-height rear-mounting
plates may be installed into a single RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure at the same time. The versatile design feature allows for the enclosure to be configured for
panel mounted equipment, 19” EIA (482.6 mm) wide rail equipment or a combination of both to support network, or automation and control equipment within the enclosure.

Quality Airflow with Enhanced Environmental Protection
While the standard RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure is a completely sealed enclosure for NEMA 12 and IP 55 ratings, CPI can modify the enclosure with openings for
Filtered Fan Kits or Active Cooling Options. These fan kits mount to the enclosure’s side panels, doors and top panel and are available in a range of airflow specifications
and voltages. The active cooling units are available to meet a range of heat loads from 900 – 24,000 Btu/h (264 - 7034 Watts).
Doors with Enhanced Security and Convenient Access
Optional viewing windows are available on the RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure to provide visibility without the risk of exposing sensitive equipment through an
open door. In addition, the enclosure ensures equipment security with a variety of door locks, including double bit lock inserts and keyed locks. A convenient, optional
document holder provides storage and quick access to device literature, also lowering the amount of time devices are exposed to the environment during routine
maintenance. In lieu of doors, gasket-sealed rear panel configurations are also available, so the enclosure may be placed against walls and other structures. Additional
options are available upon request.
Trusted Cable Management and Accessory Options
The RMR Modular Free-Standing Enclosure provides environmental protection while enabling data center industry best practices for cable support and management. The
enclosure’s top panel is available solid or with six removable gland plates for cable entry, and the enclosure’s bottom panel includes a three-piece removable gland plate.
These entry points allow for optimal cable fill values and do not interfere with the enclosure’s environmental ratings.
Many of CPI’s top-rated cable management accessories, such as Finger Cable Managers, Ring Cable Managers, troughs and brackets, are available for the RMR Modular
Free-Standing Enclosure. This ensures a flexible solution for a variety of networking, communication, automation and control needs. Additional options are available upon
request.

Cable Lashing Bracket
