Engineering curriculum has specially been designed to inculcate thinking process logically, in order to reach sound technical and innovative solutions for various technical problems. Special emphasis has been laid on developing communication and presentation ability of the students. The program has been designed keeping in view guide lines of HEC and PEC. Students are required to take 8 semesters in 4 years. The majors consist of courses in Electronics, Telecommunications, Power, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. In addition, students are also required to take courses in Basic Sciences and Islamic Studies/ Pakistan Studies. Career Opportunities: The Electrical Engineering programs provide opportunity to the students to gain in-depth knowledge in the fields of electronics, telecommunications, controls and instrumentation. Our students are also expected to acquire key skills such as logical thinking, report writing, presentation skills, and team work. We lay emphasis on not only producing good engineers with analytical skills, but also making our graduates good citizens of Pakistan. 66 Practical Work: No engineering program is complete without practical work. Laboratories, with latest state of the art lab equipment have been established to cover complete spectrum of the engineering curriculum. Well equipped labs in the area of Basic Electronics, Digital Electronics, Microprocessor, Electrical Machines, VLSI, Measurements & Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Telecom Media, Mobile Communication and Telecommunications, have been established in order to give hands on experience to the students. A general purpose workshop was also conducted where students got enough practice on machine work, carpentry, electrical wiring and other aspects of basic engineering. The Computer Lab with latest machines and free internet facility has also been provided. In addition, simulation software is available to simulate complex engineering processes. Students are encouraged to complete projects of industrial usage in hardware as well as in software.
