CG Power Systems USA Inc (formerly Pauwels Transformers Inc) is a
proven and reliable manufacturer of pad-mounted, primary unit substation, pole/platform-mounted and secondary unit substation three-phase
transformers up to 2.5 MVA, with voltages up to 38 kV 250 kV BIL with
de-energized tap changer (DTC), and Small Power transformers up to
10 MVA ONAN rating or 14 MVA ONAF rating with voltages up to 69 kV
350 kV BIL with and without load tap changer (LTC).

Three-phase transformers up to 60 MVA ONAF
CG Power Systems USA Inc has drawn on the extensive worldwide experience for
the supply of three-phrase power transformers up to 750 MVA 765 kV to develop
and provide its new range of highly reliable, cost-effective Medium Power transformers up to 37.5 MVA ONAN rating or 60 MVA ONAF rating with voltages up to
138 kV 650 kV BIL with and without load tap changer (LTC) and de-energized tap
changer (DTC).
All products are built in accordance with the latest group technology available and
designed with a common design platform ensuring the reliability, durability and
low loss performance as those products manufactured at our worldwide established
power transformer facilities.
All Medium Power transformers are completely designed, manufactured and tested
at the company’s new facility located at Avantha Drive, Washington, MO.
All designs are in accordance with the latest ANSI, NEMA and IEEE standards
(or CSA and IEC standards upon request).

to Medium Power transformer designs in order to bring to you added value. Available design features such as flitch plate clamping structure, circular disc winding,
step-lap stacked core, 3/8 inch steel tank walls, advanced cooling techniques, and
the state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, enabling to manufacture our Medium
Power transformers cost-effectively.
Design flexibility for minimal total ownership cost
Our Medium Power transformer is customized to meet various specific requirements you may have, from low noise and reduced no-load loss, to lower load loss
and overload ability. What is more, we help you to minimize your total ownership
cost by using sophisticated design programs, developed in-house, to determine the
best core and coils configuration in light of electrical, mechanical and economical
factors. Valuable add-ons such as HV/LV air terminal cable boxes and/or throats
including specific accessories, advanced controls and monitoring devices are
available.

Based upon our worldwide proven track history, our experienced engineers will
design the CG Power Systems Medium Power transformer to your expectations,
making sure that the product you will receive is of utmost quality for the lowest cost
possible such to guarantee performance for the next 40 years.
Reliability: maximum short-circuit strength
Our Medium Power transformer feature either circular layer, helical or disc winding
design depending on the voltage class and rating of each individual winding,
ensuring a maximum short circuit resistance. The round step-lap core is manufactured by a state-of the-art e-stacking core machine to minimize no load losses
and hot spots. Copper conductor is always used together with upgraded insulation
paper. Numerous similar designs have been previously put to the test by CG Power
Systems and these have proven to provide a high level of reliability.
Design features
The CG Power Systems Medium Power transformer is available in a hermetically sealed tank oil preservation version, in a positive pressure oil preservation
version or with a conservator oil preservation system. Heavy steel plates together
with reinforced support members are used for tank construction to withstand full
vacuum conditions. Lifting, rolling and jacking provision along with standard and
non standard accessories and features can be provided in accordance with industry
standards.
Testing and delivery
The CG Power Systems Medium Power transformer is subjected to rigid electrical
tests in accordance with the latest revision of ANSI, General Requirements –
C57.12.00 and Test Code – C57.12.90.
Optional design tests, CSA and IEC tests are available upon request.
Standardization of design and manufacturing allows CG Power Systems to guarantee quick deliveries. Our transformers are delivered with oil and assembled as
much as transportation restrictions and road conditions allow us to. With the CG
Power Systems’ Medium Power transformer, projects can be realized in a shortest
possible time – thus underlining again: “CG Power Systems’ commitment to
