Low-Rise Curtain Wall
Our low-rise curtain wall suite comprises of a split box boxsection which can be manufactured in ladders off site. The
SCW Curtain Wall is a cost-effective semi-unitised, zonedrained and pressure equalized aluminium system. It offers
a slim 50mm sightline, with a choice of 3 mullion and 4
transom depths. The system is capable of being fabricated
into ladders for quick assembly on site.

Mid-High Rise Curtain Wall
Curtain walling is a grid-form glazing system that gets its
name from the fact it is none load bearing and is often hung
from a buildings structure. Although this is not always the
case, the curtain wall grid can also be dead-loaded.

Visible grid curtain wall suite works around three basic
elements; a back box which determines the rigidity and
structural span capabilities of the system, a pressure Plate
which is mechanically tensioned to retain the glass and a face
cap to give a neat external finish. The face caps are available
in a number of different designs from each of our suppliers.
Most commonly they are supplied with a square or ‘aerofoil’
type design.
Curtain wall screens can be faceted to varying degrees, raked
and can be designed on either a positive of negative gradient
providing sufficient structural support is provided.

Dortechs Trame systems can either be applied vertically or
horizontally. The systems are generally specified when building
designers wish to create enhanced vertical or horizontal emphasis
in a curtain wall screen. This is achieved in the following ways:
Trame Horizontale: An aerofoils external face cap is applied to all
horizontal sections of the curtain wall screen. This cap generally
extends 80mm out from the glass face. Further extension is made
possible with extension pieces. Vertically, the face caps are
removed and replaced with either a flush fitted gasket or silicone
application.
Trame Verticale: This curtain wall system works on the same basis
as Trame Horizontale however the emphasis is placed on the
vertical sections which have a aerofoil face caps instead of
silicone/gasket. The horizontale sections have either silicone or a
flush fitted gasket applied to them.

Dortechs Structural Silicone Glazed Curtain Wall
systems can be used to create almost perfectly flushfitted glass facades. The appearance of structural
glazing is achieved by using profiles that are only
visible on the room side. From the outside, only the
glazing and the slender shadow joints are visible. The
gap between each piece of glass is approximately
25mm (this can vary) in comparison to the 50 &
60mm site line prevalent with traditional, visible grid
curtain wall systems.

Whilst slopes are commonly specified at 30 degrees or
45 degrees, they can be as low as 10degrees or
approach 9 degrees. The system can also be used for
vertical glazing. The systems has a cascade internal
water management system.

in a variety of configurations (as shown in the images

Dortechs thermally broken, rebated, aluminium door suite is
ideal for locations that require increased thermal performance
and a robust means of accessing and leaving a building. The
doors aluminium profiles are manufactured with mitred and
crimped corners. The doors are ideal for schools, and offices
and can be manufactured as entrances or fire exits.

Steel Channel Glazing
Dortech has built up significant experience in the design, delivery and
installation of Glass and Steel Channel facades. Our channel Glazed system
is ideal for environments that require large display screens such as car show
rooms and retail environments. Each piece of glass is held in place with
perimeter steel channels and intermediate sections are silicone sealed.
The final effect is clear, uninterrupted areas of flush glazing, ideal for
maximising retail space and significantly enhancing a buildings aesthetics.

glass renovation, ‘non-stick’ protection and maintenance.
Ordinary glass treated with the ClearShield Eco-System™
becomes ClearShield Eco-Glass™ which is always easier to
clean and keep clean, and resists staining and discolouration.
The ‘non-stick’ feature of ClearShield Eco-Glass™ reduces dirt
and pollution build-up, maintains the glass’s original light
transmission as well as keeping the glass looking like new for
longer. Routine cleaning cycles are typically reduced by 50%
and the benefits can last for up to 15 years on vertical façades.
