Bidder Questions
See below for responses to Bidder questions regarding the Taxiway ‘D’ Reconstruction project at the
Jack Brooks Regional Airport.
Question 1: Would it be possible to quote the approximately 49 precast housing bases per the PCC
specs on P-610 and do we have to be preapproved by any agency (FAA, DOT, etc.) to bid on this
project?
Answer 1: Vendors and suppliers are welcome to provide precast elements for the project, provided
they are manufactured and consist of materials meeting the individual specifications item(s) they are a
component of, and that the items are not manufactured prior to execution of the contract with the
successful contractor. The Engineer reserves the right to visit the precaster’s facility to observe the
manufacturing, or may request photo-documentation of the manufacturing process for the specific
items to be installed on this project.
