installation
The ZA202 is a low intensity omni-directional inset fitting.
The unit is designed for mounting in a prepared concrete block and
is secured by means of retaining bolts. Moulded socket secondary
leads can be supplied if required. The fitting is finished externally in
golden yellow gloss (Ref. no. 356 BS381C) and white internally. The
reflector/filter clamp are anodised.

The body comprises an aluminium housing with a 203mm (8in)
diameter flange, which is sealed at the top by a pressed heatresisting glass dome seated in a moulded gasket and secured in
position by a clamp ring. The substantial construction of the dome is
designed to withstand a load of 1000lbs/sq.in.

The lights are designed for use on a 6.6amp series circuit system.
Each light requires an isolating transformer. Also available with GLS
lamp for mains operation.

An inset low profile light fitting to meet the ICAO requirements for
Category I, Category II and Category III all weather operations. Also
used for road and lane marking.

The fitting is of modular design with the main casting manufactured in
spheroidal graphite iron with a durable protective powder paint coating.
A removable base cover is provided for lamp changing access.
Two glass lenses are accurately located in the main body casting.
These lenses incorporate dichroic coatings to provide red, green or
yellow light signals as required. For uni-directional requirements, a
blanking block is available.

• Body casting manufactured from aluminium alloy for lightness,
strength and durability
• As standard IEC, 8” 2 hole and 8” 3 hole versions available
• Long life High Brightness Emitting Diodes (objective life of
80,000 hours at full brilliancy)
• Colour variations achieved by using colour specific LED’s
• Prism removal and replacement achieved without the need for
adhesive or sealants
• An external optional power converter can be supplied in the
secondary cable between the isolating transformer and fitting
• Suitable for direct installation in a ZM109, ZM181 or ZM203 IEC
seating pot with only two point fixing
• Pre-focused optics to simplify maintenance procedures

elevated led runway guard light
features
options
• LED light source for exceptionally long life
• LED light source complies with ICAO photometric requirements,
flashing at 45 cycles per minute. The light colour complies with
the traffic yellow requirement
• No planned maintenance is required for the life of the unit,
however, access for inspection purposes only to the LED
arrays, micro-processor and wiring harness is achieved very
simply through the LED mounting at the front of the unit
• The LED module is double protected against environmental
degradation
• The unit can be adjusted from 0° to 20° vertically and locked
by means of the mounting support brackets. For non-frangible
arrangements, these support brackets can be bolted directly
on to a concrete plinth, using M12 studs and nuts
• Slots in the support brackets enable alignment of the unit with
the taxiway/runway
• All fasteners are stainless steel
• The robust yellow polyethylene housing is highly visible.
• Frangibility can be achieved by mounting the unit onto standard atg
airports frangible couplings and adapters
• Single point L-867 mounting frame with 2” BSP frangible coupling
