Requirements

:

1. This project will be counted as a __________ grade.

2. Your grade on this project is primarily based on your effort, neatness and following directions.

3. You are required to title your scale drawing. The original picture should be placed at the top of your scale drawing and the scale factor should be indicated as well.

Procedure:

1. Choose a picture such as a cartoon.

2. Choose which scale factor you think might work best such as 1:2 or 1:4. Are you going from inches to inches, inches to centimeters, or centimeters to centimeters?

3. Use your ruler to mark off the grid on your original drawing and on the poster board using the unit of measure you choose (inches, centimeters...)

4. Copy the original picture square by square. Do not worry about the entire picture at this time. Color your scale drawing to match the original drawing. Place the gridded orginal picture on the front of your finished poster. Label the poster with the title, scale factor, and your name.
