The Problem: All sprayers experience some run-on after the nozzles shutoff, which causes the crop to be over-sprayed and chemical wasted. In
addition to increased chemical or fertilizer costs, crops may be damaged or
mature unevenly.
The Cause: A major cause of run-on is air accumulating at the top of the spray boom.
When the boom flow is shut-off, this compressed air takes time to decompress below the
shut-off pressure of the check valve, forcing liquid out of the nozzle for a longer duration.
The Solution: COMBO-RATE® II KWIKSTOP nozzle body and Combo-Rate II saddles
mounted on top of the boom rather than below, take the liquid (and the air) from the top
of the boom pipe where the air accumulates, so there is less volume of air in the spray
boom, which reduces run-on time.

Removing air from the spray system will improve control response time and may
alleviate some auto-rate controller fluctuation problems.
For applications where sediment collecting at the bottom of the pipe is a consideration,
the sediment is less likely to flow out and plug the nozzles or check valve.

What is COMBO-RATE®?
Unlike conventional nozzle bodies, COMBO-RATE nozzle bodies are modular and
stack-able, allowing more than one nozzle body to be in a spray-ready position at
the same location. Even two or more nozzle bodies can be operated individually
or in combination with others, allowing the flow rates and droplet sizes of multiple
nozzles to be combined.
What are the unique features of COMBO-RATE®?
•• Higher flow rates with smaller droplets by combining two or more
nozzles with small droplet characteristics. Useful for small droplet, high
flow chemicals. (i.e. fungicides)
•• More flow rate options from fewer nozzles - two nozzles allow three flow rate
options and 3 nozzles allow 7 flow rate options.
•• Increased target coverage by spraying with two nozzles; one with larger droplets COMBO-RATE II One-Way Integrated Nozzle Body with Blended Pulse Style Turret
and one with smaller droplets.
•• AIR COMBO-RATE® has an electric/air operated manual remote on/off control that lets you select the nozzle type
or size from the operators seat.
•• AIR COMBO-RATE® with an automatic control lets you apply a wide range of rates over a large speed range

•• Innovative COMBO-CLIP mounting makes nozzle bodies easy to mount or replace.
•• COMBO-RATE® II nozzle bodies have built in hinged boom clamps to make

•• Standard Radialock cap mount uses COMBO-JET all-in-one Tip-Cap and
screen.
•• Large internal passage design accommodates higher flow rates with up
to 80% less pressure drop than other nozzle bodies.
