Interfor STUD LUMBER
Best Choice for Performance and Quality
Interfor offers Studs in grades that meet the demands
of a broad customer base. The top grade, High Quality
(HQ) Stud Grade, complements our High Quality (HQ)
Dimension Grade, allowing only pencil wane, limited
warp, no sap stain and reduced end splitting. Making it
the first choice for high end retail and building centers.
Our 2&Btr grade delivers quality and value.
Douglas-Fir is one of the strongest softwoods, and
a preferred species for structural purposes. Western
Hemlock — used in the Hem-Fir species combination —
is a hard, strong softwood, making it a great choice
for framing.
Interfor produces kiln dried Studs at two of our mills in the
Pacific Northwest — Port Angeles, WA, and Molalla, OR.
Interfor also produces green studs at Longview, WA.
Best Choice for the Environment
Wood from responsible sources is by far the best
building choice. Our Studs come from forests in
Washington and Oregon that meet Interfor’s high
environmental standards.
