About This Ministry
Our Affiliation/Covering
“He was wounded for our transgressions, He
was bruised for our iniquities; the
chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah
53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24)
Each local Healing Rooms is authorized by the
International Association of Healing Rooms
(IAHR).. IAHR is based in Spokane,
Washington. There are over 3100 IAHR Healing
Rooms worldwide.
The Healing Rooms have one purpose and one
purpose only -- to pray for those that need God's
touch. This ministry was birthed not only out of
a fervent passion to see God's healing and
miracle-working power manifested, but to have
God impact every area of a person's life.
As a member of IAHR, prescribed training must
be completed, an advisory board consisting of
two-three pastors must be in place, a statement
of faith demonstrating unity with IAHR must be
submitted, and personal pastoral references
must be provided by ach Healing Room minister.
IAHR serves as our national spiritual covering,
with local accountability being provided by the
advisory board. Regional and State Directors
provide additional support and covering.
We pray for the entire person -- physical,
emotional, mental or spiritual healing, financial
breakthrough, restoration of relationships or any
other need. The Healing Rooms are a safe,
caring place to come for compassionate,
confidential healing prayer. We believe in the
power of Jesus' mighty Name to heal, deliver
and set free. With God, all things are possible.
It is our desire to bring and perpetuate healing
to the Body of Christ. It is our purpose to heal,
equip and release believers into ministry,
according to Mark 16:17, so that the Body of
Christ can in turn bring healing to the world.
“And these signs will accompany those who
believe: In my name …. they will place their
hands on sick people, and they will get well."
(Mark 16:17-18)
The Healing Rooms are an all-volunteer
organization -- no one receives any
compensation. The Healing Room team is
currently made up of volunteers from various
Christian churches.
The training is open to any Christian. However,
IAHR requires every healing team member to be
in regular church attendance and to provide a
letter of reference from their Pastor to minister in
a Healing Room.
National Leadership
IAHR is under the directorship of Rev. Cal
Pierce, a man called by God to re-dig the
healing wells of John G. Lake in Spokane,
Washington. God then expanded his vision to
see Healing Rooms in every city around the
world. Every Healing Rooms is part of that
vision.
Vince & Deb Aquilino serve as New York State
and New England Directors for IAHR. They have
been thoroughly equipped to train and minister in
the Biblical principles of healing, and to impart
God's healing anointing to others.
It’s God’s desire that we all prosper and be in
good health. Yet the Bible also tells us that God’s
people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. As
we study God’s word together and discover His
truth on healing, we can be positioned to receive
His anointing so that those we minister to can be
healed, delivered and set free to the Glory of the
Father.

Who was John G. Lake?
John G. Lake started the first Healing Room in
Spokane, Washington. During his ministry, from
1914 until 1935, there were over 100,000
documented divine healings. At that time,
Washington, D.C. proclaimed Spokane the
healthiest city in the world.
Training/Impartation
Jesus demonstrates in His Word how to pray for
the sick. However, the Word also says that a
student cannot be above his teacher and
therefore needs to be fully trained (Luke 6:40).
The Disciples spent over three years learning
from the Master before He sent them out to fulfill
the Great Commission.
