NotethatcertainparametersmaynotbeusedinsomeversionsofATGsoftware.Please

parametersaresupportedbythatsoftware.
TheGlobalsTab

AparameteriseitheraGlobaloraControl.GlobalsareparametersthataffecttheATG
deviceallofthetime.Controlsareparametersthatarestoredandrecalledwithapreset.
TheglobalvaluescanbemanagedfromtheGlobalstab.Fromhereyoucanviewandedit
theglobalvalues,andsendthemtoyourATGdevice.Youcannotsavethemtodisk.
WhenaconnectionisestablishedwiththeATGdevice,thedevice'sglobalsaredisplayed
inthedialog.Youcaneditthemasdesired.TheeditedvaluesaresentbacktotheATG
whenyoupressthe'SaveGlobals'button.
TheGlobalsusedbyyourATGapplicationpacksarediscussedinyourpack'smanual.
Someapplicationpacksdonotsupportalltheglobals.Onlyoneareaofclarificationis
necessary:TheparametersinthePickupOffsetValuesboxarenotdiscussedinthe
manualsoftheguitarPacks.Insteadthesevaluesarepresetinthefactoryorbyyour
LuthierwhenheinstalledtheATGKit.
PickupType:TherearetwotypesofhexpickupsthatcanbeprocessedbyATG:piezoand
miniaturemagnetic.Differentprocessingisrequiredforeachtype,soyoumusttellthe
ATGdevicewhatkindofpickupyouareusing.OntheATGpedal,youcanselectfromone
ofthreecollectionsofMagneticOffsetValues.Thisallowsthreedifferentmagpickup
equippedguitarstobeselectedforcorrectprocessing.
ScaleLength:TheScaleLengthisthedistanceforthestringroll-overpointtothenut.For
example,atypicallengthis25.5(inches)*25.4(millimeters/inch)=648(millimeters).
Butthattypicalisonlyanexample.Usetheactuallengthofyourguitarsothatyoucandial
inthecorrectprocessing.TheScaleLengthvaluemustbebetween500and750.
PickupOffset:Formagneticpickups,itisnecessaryfortheprocessingtoknowthe
distancefromthebridgetothecenterofthepickupinordertoreversetheadverseeffects
ofthepickup.ThisscreenallowsyoutosetthePickupOffset(thedistancefromthestring
roll-overpointtothecenterofthemagneticpickup)foreachofthesixstrings.Ifyou
measureininches,multiplyby25.4.Thepickupoffsetmustbebetween6and32.

OncethedesiredglobalvalueshavebeenselectedandthedesiredPickupOffsetvalues
havebeenentered,clickthe'SaveGlobals'buttontosendthenewvaluestotheATG
Device.TorestoreallglobalvaluesandoffsetvaluesontheATGDevicetothedefault
values,clickthe'RestoreDefaults'button.
ThePresetsTab
ThePresetpageisanintuitiveeditorforcreatingandeditingpresets,readingandwriting
presetstodisk,andreadingandwritingpresetstoanATGdevice.TheATGBanksareais
automaticallyreadfromtheATGdevice,andchangestotheATGBanksareaare
automaticallywrittentotheATGdevice.Anotheroptionallowsapresettobemadeactive
ontheATGdevice.TheDiskFileBanksareacanbewrittentoorreadfromadiskfile.
Finally,dataiseasytotransferbetweentheATGBanksandtheDiskFileBanks.
Usingthediskfilefeaturesmakesiteasytoexchangepresetdatawithyourfriends.

ThecorefunctionsofthePresetEditorareaccessedbypointingtoapreset(bankand
preset1-8)andrightclickingordoubleclick,inwhichcaseyouaccessthemenu:
Youcanalsoselectapreset,selectarangeofpresets,orCommandclick(orCtrlclickona
PC)randompresets,andthenrightclickordoubleclick.Thepopupoptionwill
dynamicallyallowyoutoaccesstheapplicablefunctions.

Clicking"SendtoPresetEditor"letsyouseeandeditthepresetdata,howevertosavethe
edits,youmustpointtoapresettableentryanduse"LoadfromPresetEditor".
When"LoadfromPresetEditor"isusedonanATGBanksentry,thedataisimmediately
storedintheATGdevice.StoringthedataontheATGdeviceisnotnecessarilyenoughfor
youtohearthechange.Ifthepresetyoustoredisthecurrentpreset,youwillhearthe
changeafterthetransferofdatatotheATG.Ifitisnotthecurrentpreset,youmustmake
itthecurrentpresentbyusing"ActivatePresetinATGDevice".
CopyandPaste
Youcancopypresetsfromoneareaandpastethemintoastartinglocationofeitherbank
ofpresets.PastingintoATGBanksimmediatelywritesthedataintotheATGdevice.
ToCopy,youmustfirstselectoneormorecellsineithertheATGBanksortheDiskFile
Banks.Youcanselectedcellsthatarenotcontiguous.
ToPaste,youmustselectasinglecell.Selectingmultiplecellswilldisablethepaste
function.WhenyouselectPastethecellsarewrittenstartingattheselectedcell.The
numberofcellsintheCopyselectionwillbewrittencontiguouslyandintheorderthey
wereselectedfortheCopy.Thisuniquefeatureallowsyoutoeasilyre-orderthesequence
ofmultiplepresets.

ATGBanks
ATGBanksisagraphicalrepresentationofthecontentsoftheeightPresetBanksofa
connectedATGDevice.ATGBanksisonlyactivewhenanATGDeviceisconnectedtoyour
computerviaaMIDIInterfacedevice.
PresetsfromtheATGBankscanbesenttothePresetEditorforediting.Presetscreatedor
modifiedinthePresetEditorcanbeloadedintoanylocationoftheATGBanks,either
overwritinganexistingpresetorintoanunusedlocation.Whenapresetisloadedintothe
ATGBanks,itisautomaticallytransferredtotheconnectedATGDevice,thustheATG
BanksremainsinsyncwiththepresetbanksoftheconnectedATGDevice.Ifapresetis
modifiedonanATGDevice,theATGBanksofthePresetManagershouldberefreshedby
clickingthe'LoadfromATG'button.
ThedefaultsettingsforpresetsonaconnectedATGDevicecanbequicklyrestoredby
selectingoneormore(orall64)presetsfromtheATGBanksandclicking'Restore
Defaults'onthepopupmenu.TheCopy/PastefeatureofthePresetManagercanbeused
torearrangethepresetlocationswithintheATGBanks(andthusontheconnectedATG
Device).
Apresetcanbecalledup(activated)onaconnectedATGDevicefromtheATGBanksby
selectingthedesiredpresetandclicking'ActivatePresetinATGDevice'fromthepopup
menu,whichsendsaprogramchangemessagetothedevice.
ThepresetscontainedintheATGBankscanbewrittentoadiskfilethatcanbeusedasa
backup,loadedintoanotherATGDeviceorsharedwithfriends.
Upto64presetscanbecreatedintheATGBanksandtransferredtoaconnectedATG
Device.AccesstothepresetsontheATGDeviceisdependentonthesoftwarethatis
runningonthedevice.FortheATG-1FloorProcessor,all64presetsareaccessible.Foran
Auto-TuneforGuitar-equippedguitar,oneoftheSoftwareFeaturePacksmustberunning
ontheguitartoaccessanyofthepresets.TheEssentialPackcanaccessonlythefirst16
presets(Banks1and2),theProPackcanaccessthefirst32presets(Banks1,2,3,and4),
andtheCompletePackcanaccessall64presets.
DiskFileBanks
DiskFileBanksisusedtoreadandwritepresetfiles.DiskFileBanksisactiveatalltimes
thePresetManagerisrunningregardlessofwhetherornotanATGDeviceisconnectedto
yourcomputer.

ApreviouslysavedpresetdiskfilecanbeloadedintotheDiskFileBankswherethe
presetscanbesenttothePresetEditorforexaminationorediting.Presetscanbecreated
oreditedinthePresetEditor,loadedintotheDiskFileBanksandthenwrittentoadisk
fileevenwhenthecomputerisnotconnectedtoanATGDeviceallowingyoutoquickly
createasetofpresetsthatcanbeeasilyloadedintoyourATGDeviceatalatertime.
TheCopy/PastefeatureofthePresetManagercanbeusedtorearrangethepreset
locationswithinDiskFileBanks.PresetscanalsobecopiedbetweentheATGBanksand
theDiskFileBanks.The'RestoreDefaults'featureisalsoavailableintheDiskFileBanks.
TheentirecontentsoftheDiskFileBankcanbequicklyloadedintoaconnectedATG
Devicebyclickingthe'MoveAlltoATG'button.Thiswillcopyall64presetsintheDisk
FileBankstotheATGBankswheretheyareautomaticallybetransferredtotheconnected
ATGDevice.
ConnectingtoanATGDevice
ThePresetManagercanruninan'offline'mode(notconnectedtoanATGDevice)forthe
purposesofcreatingandsavingpresetstodisk.However,tomanagepresetsonanATG
Device,theATGDeviceneedstobeconnectedtoyourcomputerviaaMIDIInterface
device.
