INSTITUTE
OF
INTERNATIONAL
MANAGEMENT AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
VISION
Globalization, Professionalism, Communication, Integrity
MISSION
Cultivate future business leaders with professional knowledge, communication and
leadership skills while enhancing their ethical global vision in a multicultural
environment.
The Institute of International Management and Business Administration (IIMBA) was
established in 2003 and is designed to develop and sharpen the students’ business
knowledge and skills in a global environment. It aims to produce competitive business
leaders given an international landscape and holistic view of the various fields of
management rooted in a global perspective. Furthermore, it strives to anchor students to a
highly disciplined, methodological approach to business problem-solving based on an
encompassing understanding of actual international business issues.
To support the above objectives and concretize its initiatives to balance theoretical and
practical learning, the curriculum demands student participation in casework, lectures and
discussions, research projects, and completion of final thesis. The program also encourages
interaction with real world business leaders by inviting guest speakers from the business
community and executives from multinational companies (such as Ford Motor Company)
to lecture on specific courses.
IIMBA is known to provide a venue for multicultural interaction and enrichment which
consequently fosters cross-cultural understanding and cooperation. As of 2008, the program
hosts local and international students from 36 different countries all over the world.
Essentially, the program enables students to accustom themselves with practicing business
leadership and theories coupled with managing and appreciating cultural diversity.
