Global Luxury Management North Carolina State University - SKEMA Business School Dual Degree Program Calendar Overview This dual degree program is taught in English at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC for the Fall semester (August to December) and at the SKEMA Sophia Antipolis campus for the Spring semester (January to April). Please note that the Fall 2015 semester at NCSU for GLM students begins August 10, 2015. All students are required to be present for the first day of Orientation. Fall 2015 Semester Dates: August 10, 2015 – December 16, 2015 Admission Requirements: English Proficiency: All non-US citizen applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English at a level necessary to be successful in a graduate program at NC State. This requirement can be met in one of the following ways: 1. Provide valid IBT TOEFL with an overall score of at least 80 and minimum test scores for each section: Listening Reading Writing Speaking 18 points 18 points 18 points 18 points TOEFL must be no older than two years (24 months) prior to the beginning of the requested entry term. Student must request that the TOEFL IBT score be sent directly to NCSU by ETS (school code: 5496) 2. Provide valid IELTS score with an overall score of at least 6.5 and minimum test scores for each section: Listening Reading Writing Speaking 6.5 6.5 6.5 6.5 IELTS must be no older than two years (24 months) prior to the beginning of the requested entry term. Student must request that the IELTS score be sent directly to NCSU 3. Be a citizen of a country where English is the official language and the language of instruction in higher education 4. Have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study in a degree program at a four-year US College or university. Internship: In order to obtain the Global Luxury Management degree from NC State University, you must complete an end-of-year internship which is directly related to your field of study (a job or other professional work experience is also accepted). Visa Information (Raleigh, North Carolina): - Students who are not legal residents of the United States will be required to request a J-1 exchange visa in order to study on the NC State campus Details on how to obtain the J-1 exchange visa will be provided by SKEMA’s International Office Students will need to provide NC State with an official bank statement in order to obtain the DS-2019 (necessary document for the J-1 exchange visa) Important Notice – Two Year Home Country Physical Presence Requirement: Certain J-1 exchange visitors are subject to a two-year home-country physical presence requirement which requires you to return to your home country for at least two years at the end of the exchange visitor program. This is also known as the foreign residence requirement under U.S. law, Immigration and Nationality Act, section 212(e). The NC State Campus Facilities Fee is 750€ per semester.
