28.1" Color LCD Monitor T he Raptor SQ2804 is an advanced 2K × 2K primary control monitor for air traffic control. Featuring EIZO eBlue LED backlight technology, the monitor offers outstanding image quality, low energy consumption, and a long lifetime. • 2048 × 2048 native resolution • 350 cd/m2 brightness • Backlight lifetime of over 100,000 hours • Consistent brightness distribution and color reproduction • Low power consumption with EIZO eBlue LED backlight technology New Ergonomic Design Backlight Stabilizer The Raptor SQ2804 comes with all the features and functionality of its predecessor in a new lighter and more compact design. Addressing the trend towards open controller positions, EIZO has reduced the monitor’s weight, minimizing stress on mounting arms. The monitor’s ergonomically designed stand also offers tilt and swivel capability. An integrated automatic backlight stabilizer allows the controller to set the backlight brightness and ensure it remains constant throughout the life of the backlight trays. Should the backlight trays need replacing, they can be easily swapped out on site in just 5 minutes. Lower Power Consumption and Heat Generation The Raptor SQ2804 employs EIZO eBlue LED backlight technology, consuming just 120 watts at its maximum brightness of 350 cd/m 2 , only 60 watts in typical operating conditions of ATC control centers, and a mere 5 watts in standby mode. These low power requirements reduce heat generation within closed consoles; a leading cause of product failure. In addition, the EIZO eBlue LED backlight has a lifetime of more than 100,000 hours for at least 11 years of continuous operation. Brightness Uniformity The EIZO eBlue LED backlight provides superior brightness uniformity across the screen and significantly less color shift over the life of the monitor; attributes typically difficult to achieve with largescreen displays. Multiple Input Connectors Two dual-link digital video signal inputs are included as standard. Additionally, single or dual analog video signal inputs are available as needed to maintain the monitor as a drop-in replacement for the Sony DDM CRT. The monitor also has multiple interfaces, including single or dual USB used for remote controlling functions such as signal switching between two systems as well as for monitor maintenance purposes. Fully Customizable EIZO designed the Raptor SQ2804 to be customizable depending on individual control center requirements. Customization may include, but is not limited to, cabinet color, fan-less solutions, DisplayPort input, multiple video signal interfaces, inclusion of secondary power supplies, multiple protection/reflection glasses, and communication interfaces. The Raptor SQ2804 is also available in desktop, VESAmount, panel-mount, and chassis versions. 28.1" Color LCD Monitor Detailed Screen Adjustments An abundance of on-screen display functions simplify adjusting the screen as well as provide extensive color control. Frequently-used functions such as brightness and contrast can be adjusted via a quick-access OSD menu. Other adjustments offered in the more detailed OSD menu include gamma, color temperature, sharpness, image position, and backlight control. Additionally, all controls are easily accessed remotely if required. Specifications Panel Size Native Resolution Display Size (H × V) Pixel Pitch Display Colors Viewing Angles (H / V, typical) Brightness (typical) Brightness and Color Temperature Calibration Any monitor’s color temperature and brightness is susceptible to gradual changes over time. To ensure image consistency, the Raptor SQ2804 comes equipped with EIZO’s hardware calibration functionality built directly into the monitor’s firmware. By using an external sensor connected via USB, the monitor can be easily adjusted to the desired state through the OSD interface without the need for any additional software, ensuring no intrusion on the workstation. Multiple Resolution Support and Image Scaling The Raptor SQ2804 supports resolutions from 640 × 480 up to its native resolution of 2048 × 2048. Any non-native resolution can be displayed in its actual size, scaled proportionately, or expanded to fill the screen. This is helpful when receiving other nonnative resolutions as is typically necessary for setup. It also means a smaller auxiliary monitor is not necessary to view boot data or failure data.
