Now we can use the Power powders to achieve a naturally bright restoration. On this course, Szabolcs will show you his full protocol for layering a single restoration, including: photography, shade analysis, shade map, layering according to the shade map, morphology, surface texture and hand-polishing. Szabolcs will also show you his advanced layering for single restorations using a photograph of a real case. Most files create round preparations, limiting their potential to scrape the walls of oval shaped canals, fins, communications and isthmuses. Several studies using micro CT technologies demonstrated that round files touch only a small portion of the canal walls. Because of these limitations, many adjunctive techniques have been used to compensate for these shortcomings, including; higher concentrations of NaOCl and EDTA, sonic or ultrasonic activation of the irrigants, or using laser technology. 8:30am - 4:30pm Cost: NZ$595.00+GST 6 CPD Early Bird NZ$535.00+GST* CodeDate Location HN0209 Fri 2 Sep Auckland ICDE HN0909 Fri 9 Sep Tauranga HN1609 Fri 16 Sep Christchurch Recent developments in file design utilising the NiTi alloy characteristics has allowed us to produce cleaner canals and preserve the tooth structure. In order to create restorations with lifelike shading, the different layers or structures of the natural teeth need to be closely studied and precisely reproduced. The highly translucent IPS e.max® Press HT ingots are suitable for the classic indications such as inlays/ onlays and partial crowns. However, they also open up new opportunities in the fabrication of veneers, which can be put into practice quickly and easily. Apart from fabricating two anterior restorations (crown and veneer), we will add the finishing touches to a pre-fabricated posterior crown made of IPS e.max CAD using the staining technique. Learning Objectives In this course, we will fabricate various restorations based on a theory that I have developed. According to this theory, all tooth surfaces feature concave and convex areas or have curved outlines. These ultimately determine the shape of the natural tooth. In order to identify these lines, which are always curved and never straight, the significant points of the curvatures have to be defined and their relevance understood. When restoring central incisors with IPS e.max Press, we need to follow certain rules that allow us to faithfully mimic the natural shape and shade of teeth, regardless of whether we use the layering or cut-back technique. In the theoretical part, we will also address the surface texture as an essential design element in tooth restoration. The course models (with the instructions on how to fabricate the anterior copings) will be sent to you prior to the course. The IPS e.max CAD posterior crown will be provided during the course. * Early Bird closes 30 days prior to course date. 50 8:30am - 5:00pm Cost: A$1,200.00+GST Early Bird A$1,080.00+GST* CodeDate Location T-SKBSEP16 Mon 5 - Tue 6 Sep Brisbane ICDE T-SKSSEP16 Thu 8 - Fri 9 Sep Sydney ICDE Technical NEW ZEALAND Successful Immediate Transitional Dentures 1-day Workshop Arnie Jabour Course Description Meeting the high aesthetic demands of your premium denture clients is now easier with specifically-designed materials from Ivoclar Vivadent and Candulor.
