The Simkar DLEL is an attractive EdgeLit exit sign that includes a thermoplastic
housing as a durable and cost effective alternative to aluminum housings.

MOUNTING EZ-snap mounting canopy included for top,
end or back mount.
HOUSING Injection-molded, engineering-grade 5VA, flame
retardant, high impact resistant thermoplastic housing in
white or black finish. Self-adhesive chevron appliques and
guide template provided for directional indication.
OPTIONS Self Diagnostic Test feature (option SDT)
continually diagnoses units’ performance and tests system
to ensure reliable operation and to meet electrical and life
safety codes. Dual Circuit option 2C on the AC-only version
enables it to be operated from two circuits (standard and
back-up) at the same time. Emergency backup available
(option EM). Custom wording available (option Custom).
ILLUMINATION Ultra-bright, energy efficient, long life
LEDs in Red or Green. UV-stabilized ultra-clear acrylic
edgelit panel provides consistent, uniform illumination.
Double face utilizes factory-installed silver or white mylar
background panel.
ELECTRICAL Dual 120/277V operation. Bi-color LED
indicator light alerts occupant of a normal battery condition
(Green = OK, Red = Battery Dead or Disconnected). Push-totest switch for mandated code compliance testing. Long-life,
maintenance free, rechargeable NiCd battery. Internal solid
state transfer switch automatically connects the internal
battery to LED board for minimum 90-minute emergency
illumination. Fully automatic solid state, two rate charger
initiates battery charging to recharge a discharged battery
in 24 hours. Emergency backup available (option EM).
LISTINGS Meets UL924, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NEC,
OSHA, Local and State Codes. UL listed for damp locations,
32°F (0˚C) – 122°F (50˚C).
WARRANTY 5 year limited warranty on all electronics and
housing. Battery pro-rated for five years.
