Full participation in teaching, examinationpreparation and evaluation of

I.
Undergraduate Teaching
1.
Medical Students
•
General Pathology Course MDPA 303 (X): A 6 credit hour course
offered to third year medical students. It was given twice a year
until 1995 (Credit hour system). Recently the course extends over
the whole year (yearly system) of third year.
•
Special Pathology Course MDPA 406 (X):
An 8 credit hour
course extending through one semester of fourth year.
•
Laboratory Medicine Course MDPA 408 (X): 2 credit hour course
given to fourth year medical students and extends for one semester.
•
Integrated Health Sciences MDIN 453 (X): A 4 credit hour course
given to level 4 Medical Students in the second semester
(preclinical). The course is totally dependent on problem based
learning.
•
Parallel Medicine (X): Blood, lymphatic and immune systems. A 7
credit hour course given to second level students during the first
semester. The course is totally dependent on problem based
learning.

given to Third year Medical Lab. Technology (MLT) students, and
extends over the first semester of third year.

Haematology II Course MSPA 313(X): 2 credit hour course given
to third year MLT students extending through the first semester of
third year.

Blood Banking II Course MSPA 422 (X): 10 credit hours course
given to 4th year MLT students and extends over one semester.

Haematology III Course MSPA 411 (X): 8 credit hours given to
fourth year MLT students and extends over one semester.

extends over a 16 week period and is offered to second year
nursing students. The course aims at providing basic knowledge of
disease processes and introduces the students to collection and
handling of specimens meant for diagnosis.

offered in the first semester of level three.

Haematology Course MDPA 811 (X): A 38 credit hour course
given to first year residents training for the KFU Fellowship in
Clinical Pathology and lasts 48 weeks.
•
Blood Banking Course MDPA 821 (X): A 20 credit hour course
given to second year residents in Clinical Pathology Program for 24
weeks.
•
Surgical Pathology Course MDPA 818 (X): 14 credit hour course
given to residents training KFU Fellowship in Histopathology and
extends for 20 weeks. (Includes both Hematology and Blood bank) .
