Information
This unit has limited support in terms of individual components, most items will
come as complete assemblies (modules). The electronic modules are static
sensitive and normal Anti-static precautions should be taken when handling them.
Some simple soldering will be required when removing and replacing items
5-6-11-16-26.
This unit will only charge and accept Ni-CAD 7.2v to 18v batteries (Not Univolt)
The radio will run up to 12 hours on a single battery charge using an 18 volt - 2.0AH
battery, using batteries of lower voltage will produce less run time.
Reception will vary depending on location and strength of radio signal
Certain generators may cause background noise

These units have limited support – All major electronic assemblies (3-6-16-26-28) are only available as
complete modules. These modules are static sensitive and normal anti-static precautions should be taken
when handling them.
Some simple soldering will be required when replacing items (5-6-11-16-26)
All screws and fixings are only available in one parts pack (846)
Speakers (31) come as a pair complete with wiring harness
Any radio returned for repair should have the fuses checked before any other repair commences:
3.15 amp fuse (29) is located behind the charger holder (5)
1 amp fuse (30) is located on the left hand side of the input power pcb (26)
2.5 amp fuse (34) is located at the bottom of the input power pcb (26)
Tuning (17), Mode (18) and Volume (19) knobs can be removed by inserting two flat screwdrivers
underneath the knobs and gently levering upwards
Shock absorbers (15) are retained by internal screws
