Post Assembly
NOTICE
The holes in the GuardRite® post for the rails are
not at the same level. Pay attention to this when
assembling to keep rails at the same level.
1. Stand the posts upright.
2. Bolt the rail bracket to the post using (2) 1/2 in x 6 in
bolts. Install a flat washer on the bolt before the bolt
is inserted through the rail bracket and post. If the
post will be a middle post of a continuous run, you will
also need to install a rail bracket on the bolt after it is
inserted through the post (Figure 1).
3. Secure the bolt in place with a second flat washer
and a 1/2 in nylon lock-nut. Repeat this process for
any other rail brackets. Tighten the bolts and nuts
securely (Figure 2).

1. Position the posts with rail brackets attached
approximately the distance apart of the length of a
rail. Lift the rail into place and carefully set it in the rail
brackets on each end. Ensure that the label on the
rail is upright.
23
3. Install a 1/2 in nylon lock nut to hold the rail in place.
Repeat this process for all three bolts on each side
of the rail. If the system uses double high rails, install
the second rail in the same manner before tightening
all of these rail bolts securely.
2. Bolt the rail securely to the rail bracket by inserting
a 1/2 in x 1.5 in bolt with a washer installed through
the rail bracket and then through the rail from the
impact side.
4. Continue assembling the system in this manner.
Assemble the system completely before anchoring
the system to the floor.

NOTE: The rails can be cut with a saw-all, grinder,
portable band saw, etc.
2. Use the (included) touch-up paint to protect the end of
the rail from rusting.
3. Drill the 9/16 in diameter holes a minimum of 2 in
