purpose
This is an introductory certificate for people entering a career or who are already in the horticultural
industry as well as for people intending to work or who are working under supervision in
horticulture.
People who have completed the National Certificate in Horticulture will be able to demonstrate
fundamental knowledge and/or elementary skills relevant to various sectors of the horticultural
industry. The aim of the qualification is also to provide a sound basis for further education and
training.
