Before joining Kleen Test Products in 2001, he proudly served in the U.S. Navy. In addition, he held senior-level positions at both Colgate Palmolive and Reckitt Benckiser. He is the Vice Chair and an active member of the Board of Directors for the Foundation for Strategic Sourcing (F4SS). With a strong knowledge of the industry and passion for sustainability and continuous improvement, Bill believes the most important responsibility of management is to provide for the safety and welfare of their employees. Brenda joined Kellogg in 1985 as a co-op in Quality in the Battle Creek Plant and moved into a full time position upon graduation from college. Brenda spent the first 8 years of her career in the manufacturing plant in various roles including industrial engineering, plant supervision, and raw materials and production planning. In 1992 she moved into a corporate role in Customer Logistics and Services. She has spent her career in various roles across the Supply Chain including Logistics Manager in the Augusta Bakery, Supply Chain Business Partner in MF and Snacks, Procurement, Logistics Innovation and Contract Manufacturing. Brenda’s global role today includes developing strategic partnerships that enable the growth across our portfolio of products and innovation. Her team drives for execution through application of global standards and best practices while developing a safe and reliable external network globally. In addition to her role in Kellogg, Brenda is an industry member of GMA (Grocery Manufacturers Association) and The Foundation for Strategic Sourcing, an industry group focused on standardization and growth in the Contract Manufacturing industry. KELLY LEWIS BREZOCZKY CEO & Founder, Butterfly Health, Inc. Speaker Kelly Lewis Brezoczky is the CEO and Founder of Butterfly Health, Inc., a dynamic company with a big mission, dedicated to addressing an unmet mature health need for tens of millions of people over 40 called accidental bowel leakage (ABL). She is a consumer health innovator and advocate who has co-authored two peer-reviewed papers on mature women’s health – published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice. She has also started a non-profit foundation to address the unmet health and wellness needs of mature adults. ERIC FRENCH Category Leader, Amazon Grocery Speaker Eric French is the Category Leader for Amazon Grocery, a role he has held since 2014. In this role, Eric has general management responsibility for all functions of Amazon’s non-perishable grocery business and ownership of the full P&L. Eric joined Amazon in 2005 and prior to becoming Category Leader of Grocery, he held a number of divisional finance roles including three years as CFO of Amazon’s Consumables business. While running finance for Consumables, Eric was responsible for the Health and Personal Care, Grocery and Gourmet, Beauty, and Baby stores on Amazon.com, along with sites such as Diapers.com and Soap.com through Quidsi, a subsidiary Amazon. He also had finance responsibility for a variety of programs at Amazon, including Subscribe-and-Save, Amazon Mom, Prime Pantry, and Amazon’s online grocery delivery service, AmazonFresh. JOSH GHAIM, Ph.D. CTO, Consumer, Johnson & Johnson Keynote Speaker Josh Ghaim, Ph.D. is the Chief Technology Officer, Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies. In this role, he is responsible for global research, development and engineering organization for the consumer group. Josh is a member of the Consumer Group Operating Committee and the Johnson & Johnson Research & Development Management Committee. Prior to this role, Josh held the position of Global Head Franchise R&D Consumer Group, with responsibilities for Franchise R&D Strategy, Product Development, Technology Platforms, Scientific & Professional Affairs and Consumer Science globally. JEFFREY S. GUILLEBEAU Sr. Director, New Business Development and Retail, RockTenn Merchandising Displays F4SS Networking and Benchmarking Team (TNBT) Leader Jeff completed 25 years last month in the Display and Promotional Supply Chain industries. In 1992, he was hired as the first display salesperson to help build the eventual CorrFlex Display and Packaging; Jeff was part owner when Sonoco purchased CorrFlex in 2004. He’s worked, in sales and new business, primarily focused on creative, in-store merchandising for many of the major CPG’s, including: L’Oreal, P&G, US Smokeless, AOL, Beiersdorf, Campbell Soup, Nestle, Incomm, Coca-Cola and General Mills, among others. Before joining Rocktenn in 2010, Jeff spent five years with Crescent, a great 3PL Contract Packaging and Logistics company, where he gained a broader perspective on the full, promotional supply cycle with a focus on waste removal, cost reduction and improving productivity. He’s been an active member of F4SS, since its inception in February of 2007. Jeff, who is awesome, CoChaired the Sustainability Initiative Team (SIT) and worked on the CSOP team in the early years. He’s typically the second to last one to sleep each night at F4SS strategy session’s (after Duncan), which is why the board selected him to co-chair this new initiative team! Jeff splits his living arrangement between his home in Charlotte NC, many of the nation’s airports, and now as onsite lead at Coca-Cola, in Atlanta. He has a BA in Journalism/Communications from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In his spare time he taxis around two teenagers (Olivia 15 and Evan 14), coaches youth sports and runs a men’s bootcamp workout in Freedom Park every Saturday morning for the last eight plus years. DAVID HEMPSON SVP Business Development, Marietta F4SS Integrated Replenishment (IR) Team Leader David Hempson has worked at Marietta since 1981. Dave left his original profession as a high school science teacher in Skaneateles, NY to take on the challenges associated with the growth of a young but upcoming business, Marietta Packaging Corporation, as their Director of Quality Assurance. In 1986, Dave took on operational responsibility becoming Chief Operations Officer. In 2006, Dave took a new direction as Marietta’s SVP of Business Development. Dave has always been an participant in the Cortland Community serving in such diverse roles as softball coach, Chair of the Publicity Committee for the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce, member of the Advisory Board of SUNY Cortland’s Center for Lifelong Learning, Board Member on the SUNY Cortland Foundation and Chairman of the Cortland Memorial Hospital Board, just to name a few. Dave’s wife Karen is an adjunct professor at SUNY Cortland. His daughter Natalie is a graduate of Hobart & William Smith College and a law graduate from Syracuse University. She currently is an associate at the Syracuse law firm of Bond Schoeneck & King. His daughter Julie is a Graduate of Ithaca College and is an American History teacher at Moravia Central School, pursuing her Masters at Syracuse University. TOM KENT Director, Global Procurement, Kimberly-Clark F4SS Trust & Collaboration Initiative Team (TAC) Leader Tom Kent is a Director in Kimberly-Clark’s Global Procurement Organization. In this position, Tom creates and executes category strategies for K-C’s global use of external manufacturing, third party distribution services, and transportation. In addition, Tom leads the Global Procurement innovation program, seeking new ways to partner with the supply base in the development and implementation of new material, service, and product innovations. Tom is based in Neenah, WI, and has extended team members throughout the globe. Tom began his career with Kimberly-Clark 21 years ago. His past experiences have been focused in a variety of supply chain roles including customer service, production planning, product supply, and product and technology development. He has supported K-C’s Professional, Family Care, and Personal Care business units, as well as several Staff functions. He has a degree in management from Purdue University. This relationship focuses on providing global in-store merchandising services and contract packaging to multi-national retailers and consumer product companies. Mr. Neidhold retired from the Procter & Gamble Company in August 2009 after a 24 year career in Purchases and Supply Chain Management. Prior to joining P&G Mr. Neidhold served on active duty as a US Naval Officer and Naval Aviator. Speaker As the Industry Director for Healthcare at Google, Ryan Olohan leads the teams responsible for developing and managing Google's relationships with pharmaceutical and consumer health companies. Ryan's teams partner with the largest healthcare advertisers in the world to build their brands though utilizing Google's vast search, display, mobile, online video, and other platforms. As head of the Healthcare industry, Ryan is responsible for driving the teams' strategy, industry and consumer insights, operational excellence, and thought leadership. Before Healthcare, Ryan spent the majority of his over six years at Google overseeing the CPG industry as the Head of Consumer Packaged Goods. Outside of his day job, Ryan is a frequent speaker at industry events and is on the Advisory Board for the New Jersey Institute of Technology. MICHAEL PAGLIA Director, Retail Insights, Kantar Retail Speaker Mike Paglia, Director of Retail Insights, leads Kantar Retail’s research and analysis on value discounters and dollar stores. Mike also studies the U.S. supermarket industry as a member of the company’s grocery research team. Since joining Kantar Retail over six years ago, Mike has advised numerous companies within the CPG community. He regularly interacts with both retailers and suppliers through Kantar Retail’s syndicated events and webinars, as well as through customized onsite engagements. ANDY PALADINO Director, Global Manufacturing Alliances, The Hershey Company Secretary, F4SS Board of Directors Andy Paladino is currently Director of Global Manufacturing Alliances for The Hershey Company. In this role, he is responsible for managing Hershey’s global, external contract manufacturing network including product sourcing, contracting and Supplier Relationship Management. Prior to this, Andy served as Director, Global Strategic Sourcing with responsibility for setting and implementing corporate sourcing strategy and philosophy across both all indirect and select direct spend categories. Andy has over eighteen years of supply chain experience with Hershey, including prior leadership roles within Industrial Engineering, Plant Engineering, and Artisan Confection Operations. Al reports to Chad Kerlin, VP of the External Supply Chain, and is responsible for the contract manufacturing relationships with Alliance Partners and is the link to external manufacturing for the Baking, Brands on the Go, and Small Planet Foods Divisions of General Mills. Al joined General Mills through the Pillsbury acquisition in 2001 while Plant Manager of the Hillsdale Michigan Dry Mix and Flour Milling facility. He has since held assignments as Plant Manager of the BOTG Par Baked Bread and Rolls plant in Chelsea Mass. and BOTG Dry Mix plant in Martel Ohio. With Pillsbury through acquisition from 2000 to 2001, Al managed the Hillsdale facility. Prior to being acquired by Pillsbury Al performed as the Director of Manufacturing for Kerry Inc. in both their Baking and Coatings Divisions responsible for nine plant locations in North America. Rodrigues became a Plant Manager in 1983 with Beatrice Foods and has had management responsibility for 19 plants in various food manufacturing and equipment fabrication platforms. TOM SAMPSON CEO, Peacock Engineering Panel Discussion Moderator, Panelist Tom Sampson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Peacock Engineering Company. Previously, Tom spent 27 years in a variety of leadership positions at Kraft Foods. As Executive Vice President of Business Transformation, he led a comprehensive restructuring of the entire North American business and eventually led the split up of the company into Kraft Foods Group and Monedelez International. Tom was the President of Kraft’s North American Foodservice business for close to a decade and held other key positions including Vice President of North American Category Sales Management and Strategy, Vice President of Marketing for the Oscar Mayer and Pizza businesses as well as a variety of marketing roles in Kraft’s cheese business. Tom also worked for Procter & Gamble and IBM. Tom is a member of the Community Coffee Company Board of Directors. He also serves as the Board President of the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center and is actively involved in Leadership Greater Chicago and LINK Unlimited. SCALISE Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder of Hearthside Food Solutions, LLC F4SS Board of Directors Rich Scalise is a 35-year veteran of the food industry, including roles President of Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products Division and President / COO of ConAgra Foods Refrigerated Foods Division. In these and other industry leadership roles he shaped a management philosophy that led to the formation of Hearthside Food Solutions, LLC in 2009. Rich saw that Contract manufacturing was ripe for reinvention. As a customer of contract manufacturers, he saw the shortcomings and believed he could solve them. To address these needs, Rich, along with the private equity firm Wind Point Partners, formed Hearthside in 2009. The company focuses on core categories and on serving premier brands. Rich believes that by melding the speed and flexibility of a lean start-up with structure, resources and capabilities of a major provider, he could deliver both low price and outstanding, consistent quality. An example is the investment in SAP to provide customers with greater visibility and control. So far the results speak for themselves. Hearthside is now the food industry’s largest integrated contract manufacturer and the nation’s largest privately owned bakery. LISA SHAMBRO Executive Director, Foundation for Strategic Sourcing Lisa Shambro started her career with Procter & Gamble in Sales, followed by positions in Marketing, then in Mergers & Acquisitions, and acquisition integration. Subsequently, Lisa spent several years in a strategy consulting practice with CSC/Weston Group, followed by international experience leading business development, sales and e-business efforts for Warner Lambert/Pfizer (now part of Kraft or J&J’s Consumer Business). The most recent segment of her career has been focused on business-to-business in the Contract Manufacturing industry for Newell Rubbermaid/Oryx Capital and Outsourcing Services Group where she held the position of Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President of Marketing. She then established the Foundation for Strategic Sourcing (F4SS) where she serves as Executive Director. As a lawyer, executive and entrepreneur, Paul has been involved in hundreds of business lawsuits. After serving as law clerk for the United States Court of Appeals in Chicago and practicing commercial law for 11 years, he spent 25 years as a corporate counsel and senior executive advising and managing private and public companies. In addition to his work as a private mediator, Paul is a civil mediator for trial courts in several judicial districts in the State of Illinois and is a FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator. He has developed a mediator training program designed specifically for experienced business people and regularly serves as the principal training instructor. Paul is a frequent speaker on the need for businesses to plan for and better manage business disputes. CHRISTOPHER TAYLOR Founder & CEO, Crescent Park F4SS Value Creation Team Leader Mr. Taylor, a fifth generation native of Cincinnati, attended the University of Cincinnati in Business Administration and is a graduate of Harvard Business School in an intensive three-year advanced management degree program. Mr. Taylor has been involved in the business for over 25 years and represents the fifth generation of Taylor’s to actively operate the business. In 1987, Mr. Taylor recognized the need for a new warehousing and contract packaging operation to complement the existing operations at that time and formed Crescent Park Distribution Centers, Inc, of which he was the principal officer. Since then Mr. Taylor has led Crescent from a startup company, to multi-million dollar Intergrated Supply Chain Services Company, for major domestic and international corporations. The organization has operations in three Midwestern states, employing over 500 personnel. Mr. Taylor is a member of YPO since 1999 and an active officer of the Cincinnati Chapter. Mr. Taylor has held board of director position for Research & Development Association for the Miltary Food and Packaging systems, along with variouse charitable and local organizations. She has over 20 years of Manufacturing and Supply Chain experience, with extensive experience in the food and beverage industry. Kathy is responsible for Diary, Purina Feed and the Pet Food contract operations. Before joining Land O’Lakes Kathy was the Global Integrated Supply Chain Program and Cost Leader at McCain Foods, Ltd. In this role Kathy was accountable for the end to end strategic programs, cost improvement strategies and Lean transformations for 46 plants. Prior to McCain Foods, Kathy worked with PepsiCo, Heinz Foods, and General Mills where she held roles in Contract Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma and New Product Commercialization. Kathy also served in United States Army as Captain Adjutant General Branch, Special Forces for almost 10 years. Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Pre-Med/Chemistry from Loyola University and Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. He endeavours to use this experience to lead the F4SS Integrated Replenishment team towards improved collaboration and cost-savings. At Nulogy, Kevin oversees all product strategy, delivery and internal processes, bringing a background in the full cycle of software development and consulting. Prior to co-founding Nulogy, Kevin performed strategic planning and program management at Microsoft for their next-generation enhanced television services. He has also worked in software development and consulting at Ericsson and two Deloitte Fast 50 companies. Kevin has an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of Waterloo, and enjoys educating youth with technology through two non-profit organizations he co-founded. STEVEN YOUNG Vice President, Security and Risk Management, Chief Information Security Officer, The Kellogg Company Speaker Steven Young is our vice president, security and risk management and Chief Information Security Officer, leading a team that protects Kellogg Company’s systems and proprietary information against rising external security threats. Steven joined Kellogg in 2007 as director, IT solutions, and was promoted to senior director, infrastructure solutions in 2009. Throughout his tenure, he has been instrumental in creating the Kellogg Infrastructure Solutions team which is accountable for delivering our foundational infrastructure technologies. He also played a key role in establishing a robust IT infrastructure, including the global data center in Oak Brook, IL, and a disaster recovery solutions center in Philadelphia. Prior to joining Kellogg, Mr. Young held leadership positions at corporations spanning from Lucent Technologies, Lockheed Martin, Anderson Consulting, and Anheuser-Busch. In these roles he led corporate IT engineering organizations and oversaw worldwide IT departments in the design and operations of large scale IT solutions. During his time with Anheuser-Busch and Lockheed Martin, Mr. Young led the network and BASIS teams for the companies’ global deployments of SAP and the supporting computing infrastructure components. Mr. Young was also the UNIX and Data Center lead for Pacific Bell and senior network engineer for Principal Financial Group. After college, Steven designed point of sale systems for Pizza Hut and PLC, and benefits system for Ford Motor Co. Mr. Young also spent a number of years in the lottery industry designing and deploying the ticket tracking systems for the Ohio, Louisiana, and Minnesota Lottery. Steven earned his Bachelors of Science in Management of Information Systems from the University of Nebraska. JERRY R. ZABRONSKY, Ph.D. Procurement Sustainability Leader, Kimberly-Clark Corporation F4SS Sustainability Initiative Team (SIT) Leader Jerry R. Zabronsky, Ph.D. is the Procurement Sustainability Leader at KimberlyClark Corporation. In this capacity Jerry is involved in all aspects of supply chain sustainability including supplier resource consumption, supply chain greenhouse gas reduction, fiber certification, sustainable packaging, supplier corporate social compliance, waste to landfill, material/product environmental impact, and conflict minerals. In previous assignments at Kimberly-Clark, Jerry worked in a variety of management assignments in R&D, Operations Support and Procurement. Previous to joining Kimberly-Clark in 1993, Jerry worked for Colgate-Palmolive Company in a variety of R&D and business development functions. Jerry is based at the Kimberly-Clark Neenah, Wisconsin office. He earned his Ph. D in Analytical Chemistry from Syracuse University and his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Maryland.
