Vitreous China (or VC) has a classic appearance with its solid glassy finish. VC products offer excellent heat, scratch, stain and wear resistance. Made from a natural material it is a cast ceramic (clay) glazed with enamel (glass). Due to the nature of its production, visable imperfections are part of the overall look of VC meaning no two tops are produced the same. Composite tops and basins have a gloss surface that achieves a clean smooth look almost free from surface imperfections. Tops are resistant to impact damage and offer good dimensional stability. Composite tops are created using a mixture of resin and mineral fillers with a hardwearing gel coat top surface. CABINETS Athena cabinets are manufactured in New Zealand from sustainably managed, low emission New Zealand produced board. Board used in the construction of Athena vanities uses only low emission E1 standard (or better) board. New Zealand’s board (MDF and Particle board) is regarded as the best in the world and is sourced from sustainably managed forest plantations. Athena colour finishes are extremely high quality. Compared to wood veneer, and paint, they will resist bumps and knocks more readily and are more likely to maintain their as new finish over time as paints and lacquers tend to dull with ongoing exposure to UV. Frameless and semi frameless glass does not close in the shower, in fact it gives a greater perception of size, space and depth in the bathroom. It is also more difficult for mould and grime to build up on, and is therefore easier to keep clean. >Installation tolerances are built into the door and return systems to compensate for out-of plumb walls. ACRYLIC WALL >Wall linings are made using premium quality Senosan Anti Bac acrylic capped ABS which provides an easy to clean, antibacterial gloss surface. >Moulded walls are a convenient way to incorporate storage into your shower. The tray upstand height means no silicone is seen inside the shower. Timber bath frames are made from machined gauge pine which is straight and true to allow easy fixing of lining materials.
