Attach the ballast box to a fixed wall or similar secure structure using appropriate M6 fasteners leaving adequate space between adjacent ballast boxes for proper cooling. Important! The four supplied plastic round spacers must be placed between the ballast box and mounting surface to allow proper ballast cooling. Note: Whereas the ballast box can be placed in any orientation, it is recommended that the cable strain relief connectors face down. Attach the companion ignitor box to a fixed wall or similar secure structure above and away from the underwater light proper using appropriate M4 fasteners. Using marine grade 14/3 cable, run a VAC input line into the ballast box and secure by way of one cable strain relief connector. Using marine grade 14/3 cable, run one line from the ballast box to the ignitor box, then run line from ignitor box to underwater light utilizing supplied 18/3 high temperature silicone cable and secure in place by tightening associated cable strain relief connectors. Caution! Avoid making tight bends and/or passing any electrical cables over sharp edges/surfaces. Connect cable leads at the ballast box, companion ignitor box and underwater light proper as shown in the wiring diagram below. Serviceable Parts: Upon opening the ballast box by unscrewing four captive lid fasteners, replacement of HID ballast components or fused terminal block is accomplished by removal and replacement of associated fasteners and wiring. Further, a 10 Amp fuse located in the terminal block may be pulled out and replaced as required. Upon opening the companion ignitor box by unscrewing four captive lid fasteners, fasteners replacement of the HID ignitor is accomplished by removal and replacement of associated fasteners and wiring.
