DESCRIPTION
Instruction on the theories that support program catch
estimation protocols. A brief overview of basic algebra,
geometry and orders of operations. Students will learn
about the approved catch estimation methods and how to
record calculations on the Catch Estimation Worksheet
Actual application of catch estimation theories are used
during a classroom workshop and exercises (play-doh
exercise; checker pen demo; etc.). Class will break into
groups of two to complete data collection needed for the
Vol. to Vol. exercise. A separate schedule of times will be
provided.
