Position Overview:
Reporting to the fuel dock supervisor, the attendant is a multifaceted role which requires working a
variety of shifts, in a team environment. The attendant is responsible to ensure the highest standard of
operations, cleanliness and safety of the Fuel Dock. The attendant observes the Marina’s Standards for
Excellence and Value to support excellent marina guest experiences.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Department Operations





Responsible for following company policies and procedures
Selling fuel , retail goods and cross selling other marina services
Sell and administer nightly guest moorage
Support activities for the fuel dock strategic goals
Consistently and accurately completing moorage checks, meter reads and monitoring all vessels
in Van Isle Marina
Marina Services



Ensure all activities are aligned with the Marina’s Purpose Statement
Commitment to the Marina Standards for Excellence and Value
Conscientiously using the visual marina software system to manage moorage reservations

Health & Safety




Operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and
company policies
Housekeeping of the fuel dock
Participates in safety drills and exercises
Awareness of the activity in Tsehum Harbour and report suspicious activity
Supports



Works co-operatively with team members and supervisor
Communication through company intranet
Communications with Marina Services Representatives’ (through marina office)
Skills/Qualifications Required:










Minimum 2 years experience in a service related capacity
Recreational or commercial boating experience
Organizational and Communication skills
Aptitude to operate a work boat
Multi-tasker
Hands-on
Flexible schedule to meet demands
Pleasure Craft Operators Card
First aid certification (Level 1 minimum)
Computer Skills include Microsoft Office, DOS knowledge helpful
