“SNOW EQUIPMENT PACKAGE FOR DUMP TRUCK”
Sealed tenders clearly marked “Snow Equipment Package for Dump Truck” will be received by
the District of Taylor up to 2:00 pm, local time Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Council
Chambers 10007 – 100th A Street, Taylor, B.C.
The tender is for the supply of:
 Underbody scraper
 Front mount snowplow
 Truck mounted dump box
 Slide-in road sanding unit
 All related hydraulics and controls
 Any required truck modifications/alterations
Tender documents may be obtained from the District Office on or after August 27, 2014.

It is the District’s intent to deliver the above described truck to the shop of the successful bidder
once the tender is awarded.
The expectation of the tender is that the truck fitter installs and tests all of the equipment included
in the tender and makes any alterations/modifications to equipment/truck to provide the best
performing truck possible. The District is relying on the truck fitter’s expertise to be conscious of
the ergonomics in the cab for operator comfort in order to avoid operator fatigue.
Upon completion of the truck build, the District expects a minimum four hours of operator
education at the builder’s shop prior to the District accepting delivery of the unit.

General
 Crank driven front mount hydraulic pump and hydraulic reservoir to be of sufficient size

of good ergonomic design.
 Controls to be air operated and to include controls for front pump, power angle front
plow, dump hoist, air trip tailgate, underbody plow, conveyor and spinner for slide-in
road sander – high mount tank.
 Provide operator manuals, parts manuals and service manuals for all equipment being
installed.
 Identify any extended warranty service plans available and their costs.
