Choose the Happiness Advantage
October 18-19 @ Indian Hills Community College
18th - 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
19th - 8:30 a.m.-12 Noon
The Happiness Advantage Principles:
The Happiness Advantage: The competitive advantage organizations gain by capitalizing on the
improved performance, engagement, and other business outcomes of happy employees.
Zorro Circles: By first getting fast, small wins, we are more likely to view positive change as possible
and more likely to accomplish large and complex goals.
20-Second Rule: The hardest part of change is the energy required at the very beginning. Create
Paths of Least Resistance to make starting easier.
Social Investment: The greatest predictor of our long-term success is the relationships we build with
other people.
Mindset Matters: The brain performs better “on positive,” which increases our likelihood of success.
Tetris Effect: The brain learns to recognize patterns that are repeated over and over, which helps the
brain preserve and gradually improve its processing capability. This principle allows us to train our brain
to seek positive patterns.
Falling Up: The ability to reframe stress and challenge so we can be happier and more resilient. It
