to the extent indicated and is hereby made a part of the above noted contract documents on
which the contract will be based. Any modifications/changes made by this addendum affect
only the portions or paragraphs specifically identified herein; all remaining portions of the
proposal to remain in force. It is the responsibility of all bidders to conform to this
addendum. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the space provided on the bid form.
Failure to do so may subject Bidder to Disqualification.

perform a prevailing wage project. Our last project with Chabot
College was not.
Answer:
All public works projects at the District are Prevailing Wage
projects and must adhere to the Public Contract Code. The other
project you are referring to did not administered through this office.

SECTION 3: SCOPE OF WORK
GENERAL:
All work to be compliant with current codes for the City of Dublin.
Architectural
1. General Scope of Work: Provide all engineering, submittals, shop drawings, labor,
materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, transportation, temporary construction, and
special services as required for the ARCHITECTURAL Work as called for in the Contract
Drawings and Specifications. Specifications as noted herein and on the drawings are specific requirements for
this scope of work.
Architectural, as defined, shall include but not limited to all walls, ceilings, insulation, finishes, accessories,
cabinets, doors and hardware.
In general, this scope of work shall include the following: all engineering required to accommodate demolition
and removal of components no longer required and new work.
Review existing conditions and provide field verifications insuring that existing walls, floors and ceilings
remain code-compliant. Do not begin demolition until you have identified all conditions to adjoining tenant
spaces and hallways.
It is the responsibility of the contractor to control and secure the areas of work. Demo will include removal
and disposal per City of Dublin requirements.
Unless otherwise indicated, all materials and finishes to be installed per manufacturers recommendations
The contractor shall include all acoustic controls between adjacent tenant spaces and public areas such as
hallways.
The contractor shall provide record drawings at the completion of project showing all changes that were
completed within this contract in PDF and CAD format.
Mechanical and Plumbing
1. General Scope of Work: Provide all engineering, submittals, shop drawings, labor,
materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, transportation, temporary construction, and
special services as required for the MECHANCIAL and PLUMBING Work as called for in the Contract
Drawings and Specifications. Specifications as noted herein and on the drawings are specific requirements for
this scope of work.
Mechanical systems, as defined, shall include all duct work, VAVs, diffusers, thermostats, controls, air &
water balance, Ductless Split System, condensate pump, DX piping and coring.
In general, this scope of work shall include the following: all engineering required to accommodate demolition
and removal of components no longer required and new mechanical work.
Review existing conditions and provide field verifications insuring that existing systems and HVAC systems
downstream of your work remains operational. Do not disconnect services until you have identified all
services and what they serve and have obtained approval to do so.
It is the responsibility of the Mechanical contractor to safe off, cap, and demo of all MECHANICAL equipment,
fixtures, piping, accessories, etc. as needed to accommodate new layout. Demo may include removal and
disposal of existing duct work, thermostat control wire/boxes, diffusers, etc.
The Mechanical contractor shall provide labeling for all new work. Labeling includes tags for valves, VAVs,
etc.

Ensure all 2 floor HVAC systems are functioning at completion of renovation.
The Mechanical contractor shall provide record drawings at the completion of project showing all changes that
were completed within this contract in PDF and CAD format.
Electrical
1. General Scope of Work: Provide all engineering, submittals, shop drawings, labor,
materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, transportation, temporary construction, and
special services as required for the ELECTRICAL Work as called for in the Contract
Drawings and Specifications. Specifications as noted herein and on the drawings are specific requirements for
this scope of work.
Electrical systems, as defined, shall include all power, lighting, fire alarm, grounding and raceways/boxes and
as required for all low voltage work.
In general, this scope of work shall include the following: all engineering required to accommodate demolition
and removal of components no longer required and new electrical work, new circuits, relocation of electrical
circuits, installation of new breakers, and grounding.
Review existing conditions and provide field verifications insuring that existing systems and power
downstream of your work remains operational. Do not disconnect services until you have identified all circuits
and what they serve and have obtained approval to do so.
It is the responsibility of the ELECTRICAL contractor to safe off, cap, and demo of all ELECTRICAL
equipment, fixtures, piping, accessories, etc. as needed to accommodate new layout. Demo will include
removal and disposal of existing circuit wire(s)/cable(s)/conduit(s) back to existing electrical panel or low
voltage termination point.
Intercept, extend, relocate and/or reconnect existing lights to accommodate layout adjustments, circuits and
occupancy sensor.
Relocated and reconnect existing or provide and install emergency lights per code.
Relocate and reconnect existing or provide and install fire alarm devices to accommodate new layouts
All penetrations of rated walls to re-establish rated assembly.
Provide and install junction box, stub 3/4” conduit and to ceiling to accommodate all power in new and
existing walls.
Provide and install 4-11/16” J boxes and stub 1 ¼” conduit to ceiling space at all data locations.
The Electrical contractor shall include all audio visual conduits including empty 4 – 11/16” J boxes and 2”
conduit to ceiling space to accommodate new Smartboards, teaching stations and AV equipment.
Provide power above the ceiling to the projection screen motors and for wireless connectivity equipment.
The Electrical contractor shall include all Fire Alarm scope as required to accommodate new layout.
The Electrical contractor shall include all Telecomm/Data Conduit and Grounding.
The Electrical contractor shall assume that the existing electrical panel(s) located on the 2nd floor will have
adequate spares and circuits to accommodate new electrical scope.
The Electrical contractor shall provide labeling for all new work. Labeling includes fire alarm devices, light
fixtures, electrical outlets, etc.

Fire Suppression System

SYSTEM Work as required to accommodate new layout.
It is the responsibility of the Plumbing contractor to safe off, cap, and demo of all Plumbing equipment, fixtures, piping,
accessories as needed to accommodate new layout.
Connect Plumbing in existing wet wall; downtime for existing breakrooms on other floors is a maximum of 1 calendar day.
if restrooms involved, work must be done during non-business hours.
The Mechanical Contractor shall include Air and Water Balancing.
