Radio
Scantronic’s advanced combined dual diversity+ radio
system delivers unrivalled range and signal strength.
This is achieved through its innovative use of carefully
positioned aerials which subsequently combine
received signals to deliver optimum performance.
Developed and refined over 25 years, the system
optimises ‘in building’ performance through
minimisation of the effects of disruptive signal reflection
and elimination of interference from modern radio
data systems. This provides proven real-world
performance without the need for costly networks of
detectors or signal repeaters.
The secure 868MHz frequency is tightly controlled by
high performance electronic components, this
produces the most secure signal performance on the
market, ensures maximum range with the minimum
device power consumption and
ensures systems will remain
unaffected by the increasing
number of radio devices present
in the home or workplace.
Decimal expansion
Our expandable panel range starts with
10 zones on the end-station. Expanding
the system in 10 zone blocks makes it

Expandable Panels
i-on30EX and i-on30EXD offer an entry to the expandable i-on range.
The i-on30EX provides a plug-on communications port and the
i-on30EXD adds a built-in digital communicator. Both offer 10 zones on
board expandable through Scantronic’s unique decimal expansion
system to 30 hybrid zones at PD6662:2010 grade 2 over four partitions.

i-on50EX and i-on50EXD offer PD6662:2010 grade 2 or grade 3
compliance, a total of 50 zones over five partitions and 100 system
users. The panel is available as the EX or EXD variant with built-in digital
communicator. A new metal end-station has been specifically designed
for this panel to accommodate a 17Ah battery and space for a third
party communicator. The i-on50EX and i-on50EXD also include the i-on
web browser interface.

Expandable Panels
i-on160EX is the largest of the current i-onEX range, it offers 10 zones
on the end-station expandable to 160 zones using wired and radio
expanders. It can be configured to PD6662:2010 grade 2 or 3.
The i-on160EX provides 20 partitions and up to 500 users each able to
use a PIN, prox tag, remote control or HUA to control the system. The
large metal end-station can accommodate any combination of up to two
17Ah batteries, each independently charged and monitored.
The i-on160EX also offers the i-on web browser interface.
