111-200 Series SCADA-Ready Digital Thermometer
The 111-200 economically monitors oil and winding temperatures within
liquid-cooled transformers. Comprised of one or two independent, singlechannel digital thermometers, the 111-200 displays present and maximum
stored temperatures, and provides relays for cooling, alarm, and trip controls.
The 111-200 also offers remote data communication through either milliamp
outputs or RS485 MODBUS protocol.
111-300 Series Transformer
Temperature Monitor
111-300 Series Transformer Temperature Monitor
The 111-300 utilizes microprocessor technology and advanced thermal modeling
to economically monitor oil and winding temperatures within liquid-cooled
transformers. Comprised of one or two independent, single-channel digital
monitors, the 111-300 accurately measures both liquid and winding temperatures
using only one liquid well.
111-400 Series Digital Differential Temperature Monitor
The 111-400 uses two 100ohm Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) sensors
to measure the oil temperature of the Main tank and the Load Tap Changer
(LTC) tank. The ‘Differential’ Temperature (LTC temperature minus the Main
tank temperature) is calculated and monitored as an indication of the LTC
condition. Multiple-level alarm logic with programmable time constants can
actuate alarms when predetermined differential setpoints are exceeded.
118 Series Electronic
Temperature Monitors
118 Series Electronic Temperature Monitors
The 118 Electronic Temperature Monitor (EMT) can track up to three

AKM Winding Temperature Indicator Series 35 (WTI)
By making a "Thermal Image" of the winding the WTI Series 35, simulates
the winding temperature. The temperature of the winding depends on the
transformer load (i.e. the current through the winding) and the temperature
of the cooling medium - the oil. These two parameters are measured and
made to interact in the instrument. The oil temperature is measured as usual
with a bulb in a pocket. The measuring system also has a specially designed
heating element, to measure the transformer load. This heating element is
a thermal model of the winding. The heating element is connected to the
current transformer (CT) via a Matching Resistance or a Matching Unit, to
allow setting the correct winding temperature gradient.

Data Acquisition
IDM Data Acquisition System
The IDM is designed to address the data recording requirements of modern
distribution or transmission networks. The product, when coupled with
ReplayPlus software, provides a powerful platform for the acquisition, analysis
and reporting of data from power system substations. Each IDM DAU –
equipped with a 16-bit processor, 16-bit A/D and powerful DSP processor
– processes analog input data each cycle to compute, in real time, 100 power
system quantities including real and reactive power, sequence components,
phasors, harmonics, frequency, etc. These quantities are then used for
simultaneous fault recording, disturbance/slow scan recording, phasor
measurement, power quality recording and can also be made available to
other substation IEDs for integration into SCADA systems.
Traveling Wave Fault Locator (TWS)
IDM Data Acquisition System
The Telefault TWS operates on the travelling wave principle and provides an
accuracy of ±150m (± 500ft). It can be used on high voltage AC lines of any
length, including those containing sections of cable, parallel circuits, tapped
loads and series capacitors. It can also be used on HVDC lines. The TWS
provides three different modes of fault location. It is unaffected by fault
resistance and provides a consistent level of accuracy many times better than
conventional impedance type fault locators. The standard version can
accommodate up to eight line modules so that eight circuits can be monitored
simultaneously. An internal modem is provided for remote data retrieval and
configuration. Optionally, it can be interfaced to SCADA systems/substation
IEDs. The DSFL Distribution System Fault Locator is an inexpensive overhead
line fault locator for small transmission networks or distribution systems. The
DSFL uses input from the TWS, initiated by a fault to determine the position
of the fault.
ReplayPlus Analysis Software
Traveling Wave Fault Locator
A flexible, high performance display and communications package allowing
Power Utilities to retrieve, analyze and manage information from fault
recorders throughout their transmission and distribution networks.

BCM 200 Breaker Condition Monitor
Since the BCM 200 records the current interrupted by every breaker trip,
it can provide fault monitoring information on distribution systems where
there are generally no other fault recording devices installed. The records
obtained can thus be used to determine the magnitude and duration of
faults, detect recurring faults, and monitor protection performance.
CBT 400 Circuit Breaker Test System
The new CBT 400 is the latest microprocessor based Circuit Breaker Test
System for the timing and testing of medium and high voltage circuit breakers.
Like its predecessor this device is a portable test system and the ideal tool
for circuit breaker testing during off-line maintenance. The CBT 400 together
with its powerful analysis software package, can give a clear and precise
insight into the condition and conformity of a circuit breaker.
RTR 200 Circuit Breaker Response Recorder
The RTR 200 allows a breaker to be tested while remaining in service. The
system has been designed to monitor several common signals in the control
circuitry of the circuit breaker, typically trip and close coil current, supply
voltage dip, A, B or C3 auxiliary contacts and trip and close initiation. These
and other electrical signals are brought to a permanently installed connector
in the breaker mechanism cabinet. To perform a test the RTR 200 recorder
is connected to this pre-wired plug and the breaker is operated remotely.
The RTR 200 stores the data from the test and is then moved to the next
breaker. The resulting trace can be considered as the fingerprint of a given
circuit breaker. The essence of the RTR 200 concept is the comparison of
these fingerprints.
