Description:
This 29-week interactive module, leading to *CEFR stage B2/Alevel+, is designed to help you practise and improve your oral and
written comprehension, written composition and conversation. You
will be introduced to more complex grammatical structures, helping
to bring your German up to an advanced level. A variety of media
and class activities also develop your knowledge of the cultures of
the German-speaking countries.

develop your ability to interact in German in a wider range of
everyday situations. It teaches you to tackle more difficult and
specialised texts and to consolidate your knowledge of basic

German 4 (Advanced)
Module
Description:
This 29-week module, leading to CEFR stage C1/Post A-level*,
will help you to attain a level of proficiency in your German
language skills. You will be able to express a wide range of ideas
on complex topics in both written and spoken German. It focuses
on areas of grammar which allow for nuanced modes of
expression (e.g. the passive) and those which pose a particular
difficulty for learners of German. Particular emphasis is placed on
text comprehension, essay writing and oral skills.

Term 1, 2 and 3 (24 weeks)
This 24-week module, leading to CEFR stage C1 (Advanced)/C2
(Degree level)*, will increase your textual understanding of
German passages, for example on current affairs in Germany. It
aims to help you build up vocabulary and achieve a good
command of syntactical structures in German. You will also have
the opportunity to practise your spoken German and enhance your
comprehension skills.
The minimum exit language level for this module is CEFR C1 level
but students who perform at the higher levels of achievement can
be taken to have reached CEFR C2 level.
