FLOWTITE GRP Fire Water Tanks LO W R ES O LU TI O N PD F Modern Solutions for the Storage of Fire Water FLOWTITE GRP Fire Water Tanks Modern Solutions for the Storage of Fire Water F PD Installation: Since the individual components can be pushed together using an excavator, the GRP fire water tank can be installed very quickly. For example, the installation of a tank with a usable volume of 100 m3 can be completed in just one working day. The subsequent back-filling of the trench is completed, as is the whole installation, according to DIN EN 1610. ES O LU TI O Storage systems with a volume from 75 m3 to more than 300 m3 are suitable for the decentralised storage of fire water according to DIN 14230. FLOWTITE glass fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) fire water reservoirs offer decisive advantages to enable the fast, safe and above all cost-effective installation of such systems. N Installed fire water tank DN 2400 GRP fire water tanks are permanently watertight and corrosion-free. Additional painting or coating is not necessary. Since the GRP material possesses very high stiffness, GRP fire water tanks are also trafficable to SLW 60. The reservoirs therefore offer an extraordinary high level of operating safety, together with low maintenance and can be operated cost-effectively over many decades. All components are prefabricated at the plant and assembled on-site using well-proven REKA plug-in couplings. In addition, the low weight of the components allows them to be installed mostly without using heavy lifting equipment. Together with the small wall thickness and the compact dimensions of the components, this also enables installation to be carried out in constricted spaces. LO W R Moreover, the GRP material is extremely durable and perfectly suited to storing fire water over long periods of time. Installation Steps: • Delivery of the prefabricated components by truck •Unloading with a truck-mounted crane or excavator •Underlay according to DIN EN 1610 •Shifting and alignment of the components using a truck-mounted crane or excavator •Pushing the components together using an excavator bucket • Filling the trench according to DIN EN 1610 Delivering the prefabricated components Transporting the components with an excavator Cross-section of a GRP fire water tank Car park above the fire water tank Advantages of FLOWTITE GRP fire water tanks: •Long-lasting and permanently watertight system • Low weight • Corrosion-free and low maintenance • Trafficable to SLW 60 • Fast and easy installation • Installation mostly without heavy lifting equipment •Individually adaptable, rainwater usage possible Shifting the second end piece N PD F Customised Manufacture: FLOWTITE GRP fire water tanks are planned and installed individually according to the local site conditions. Nominal diameters and construction lengths are optimised to suit the available area. Equally, the number and position of the suction armatures, as well as rainwater usage can be planned and realised according to customer requirements. ES O LU TI O Nominal Diameters: FLOWTITE GRP fire water reservoirs corresponding to DIN 14230 are available in nominal diameters DN 2100 to DN 3000.
