Thank you for confirming the installation of the solar powered lighting system for youtrtp
and for submitting the required documentation and photos.
With the installation of the lighting system, night time landing restrictions have now been lifted
for your helipad. Responding to calls is of course subject to normal operational considerations
and restrictions.
As a reminder, the warranty period for the battery is one year and the warranty period for the
light is three years. Should you experience any difficulties with either the lights or batteries
during their warranty period, please contact the manufacturer directly at:

Please remember, that in support of patient care and safety, we ask the following:
1. You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the helipad, as has always been
the case. This includes maintenance of these lights. Although Ornge retains
ownership of the lights, you are responsible for changing batteries and ongoing
maintenance, and ensuring they are clear of snow and debris.
2. As indicated in our previous communication, Ornge will not provide night service to
your helipad if it is not properly lit. If the lights are not functional at the time of a night
call, it will be Ornge’s expectation that the pilots will decline to land and alternate
transfer arrangements will be made.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process and we look forward to
continuing our partnership.
