With the installation of the lighting system, night time landing restrictions have now been lifted for your helipad. Responding to calls is of course subject to normal operational considerations and restrictions. As a reminder, the warranty period for the battery is one year and the warranty period for the light is three years. You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the helipad, as has always been the case. This includes maintenance of these lights. Although Ornge retains ownership of the lights, you are responsible for changing batteries and ongoing maintenance, and ensuring they are clear of snow and debris. 2. As indicated in our previous communication, Ornge will not provide night service to your helipad if it is not properly lit. If the lights are not functional at the time of a night call, it will be Ornge’s expectation that the pilots will decline to land and alternate transfer arrangements will be made.
